Кардиология - диагностика и лечение заболеваний

The word "cardiology" comes from two Greek words – kardia (heart) and logos (doctrine). This section of medicine studies a structure and functions of heart, the reason of diseases of cardiovascular system, mechanisms of their development, clinical displays of diseases, diagnostic methods of illnesses and ways of their treatment. Besides, the children's and adult cardiology deals with issues of prevention of diseases and rehabilitations of patients with various defeats of vessels and hearts.

At the moment the cardiology is one of the most important directions of clinical medicine. It is connected with the fact that every year millions of people perish from diseases of cardiovascular system, and as much again – become disabled people, and heart diseases do not spare either old men, or youth, equally often affect both men, and women, and children. Partly for this reason in recent years the children's cardiology was transformed from purely medical to an important social problem of health care in which not only doctors, but also the state have to be engaged already. The last, undoubtedly, is interested in preservation of efficiency of the population and its health therefore the governments of all developed countries actively consider the programs directed to fight and prevention of pathologies and defects of cardiovascular system.

The main task which is set for itself by cardiology – to reveal in time heart troubles, to carry out their treatment and to take care of rehabilitation of patients. The most modern methods and technologies are for this purpose used: phonocardiography, electrocardiography, sounding of cardial cavities, angiocardiography, ultrasonographies and radiological methods. Every year efficiency of diagnostic and medical procedures grows. It gives us a nadezha that sometime the cardiology will be able not only to treat already developed illnesses, but also will prevent their emergence at early stages of development.
