Либексин в таблетках Libexinum – an antibechic.

Form of release and structure

Dosage form – tablets: flat, round, white color, on both parties – a facet, on one of the parties – risk (allowing to divide a tablet into 4 parts), on another – an engraving of "LIBEXIN" (on 20 pieces in blisters, on 1 blister in a pack cardboard).

Active ingredient of Libexinum – Prenoxdiazinum a hydrochloride, in 1 tablet – 100 mg.

Additional components: глицерол, starch corn, povidone, lactoses monohydrate, talc, magnesium stearate.

Indications to use

Training of the patient to бронхографическому / to a bronchoscopic research;
Night cough at patients with heart failure;
The unproductive cough of any etiology including caused by acute or chronic bronchitis, flu, Qatar of upper respiratory tracts, emphysema, pneumonia.

Contraindications

Absolute:

The diseases which are followed by plentiful bronchial secretion;
Glucose galactose malabsorption, insufficiency of lactase, intolerance of a galactose;
The period after an inhalation anesthesia;
Hypersensitivity to drug.

Libexinum should be applied with extra care at treatment of children.

During pregnancy and a lactation drug is appointed only after careful assessment of estimated advantage and possible risks.

Route of administration and dosage

Libexinum is accepted inside, swallowing tablets entirely (it is not recommended to chew tablets not to allow anesthesia of a mucous membrane of an oral cavity).

To adult patients on average appoint 100 mg (1 tablet) 3-4 times a day. In hard cases the dose is increased to 200 mg (2 tablets) by 3-4 times a day or to 300 mg (3 tablets) 3 times a day.

To children the dose of drug is defined depending on age and body weight. As a rule, appoint 25-50 mg (1/4-1/2 tablets) 3-4 times a day.

The most admissible single/daily doses:

Children: 50 mg / 200 mg;
Adults: 300 mg / 900 mg.

At use of Libexinum during training of the patient for a bronkhoskopiya appoint 0,9-3,8 mg/kg and combine drug from 0,5-1 mg of atropine, adopt in 1 hour prior to carrying out procedures.

Side effects

Nervous system: at administration of drug in high doses – increased fatigue, easy sedation (independently pass within several hours after cancellation of Libexinum);
Digestive tract: seldom – temporary numbness and an anesthesia (anesthesia) of a mucous membrane of an oral cavity, dryness in a mouth/throat; seldom – stomach aches, nausea, tendency to locks;
Allergic reactions: seldom – rash on skin, a Quincke's disease.

Special instructions

Because of contents as a part of lactose Libexinum (0,38 mg in each tablet) drug can cause undesirable reactions from the alimentary system in patients with a lactose intolerance.

At reception of medicine in high doses delay of reactions is possible. Extent of restriction of the patients managing vehicles or occupied on potentially dangerous productions is determined by this reason individually.

Medicinal interaction

Libexinum is not recommended to be accepted along with the drugs having expectorant and mucolytic effect since at reception of such combination difficulty of expectoration is possible.

Preclinical and clinical data on interaction of Libexinum with other medicines are absent.
