Almonds

Almonds thanks to the original and delicate taste, high content of useful and valuable substances are considered the king of nuts. Though nut it is called incorrectly since actually it represents a drupaceous fruit, same as, for example and a fruit of apricots, peaches. Useful property of almonds is also that it contains a small amount of carbohydrates. Therefore it can be eaten without fear and to the persons suffering from a diabetes mellitus, obesity.

Advantage of almonds

Useful properties of almonds for a human body in many respects are defined by a complex of the vitamins which are its part. So group B vitamins:

  • Well influence a nervous system;
  • Give a healthy look and beauty to nails, hair, skin;
  • Maintain vitality;
  • Are directly involved in energy balance in cells;
  • Improve mood.

Vitamins of this group in a human body are not synthesized and do not collect therefore they need to be received daily with food.

High content in almonds of vitamin E (tocopherol) possessing powerful antioxidant action provides the following useful properties of almonds:

Harm of almonds

The excessive use of almonds can do essential harm to a human body. It is especially dangerous to use bitter almonds in number of more than 2 nutlets a day since it contains the cyanides breaking function of cellular respiration and leading to serious injury of the central nervous system.

Sweet almonds do not contain toxic substances, but also they should not be fond. It is rather caloric and if to eat it a day more than 30,0 grams, then extra kilos will not keep themselves waiting. Harm of almonds is shown also that it can cause development of allergic reactions in the people having individual intolerance of this food stuff. In addition the excessive use of almonds can cause development of the state reminding drug or alcoholic intoxication in the person.
