Neomycinum
Application instruction:
Neomycinum – outside antibiotic drug.
Form of release and structure
Neomycinum is released in the form of an aerosol for external use: homogeneous white or almost white suspension with a characteristic smell (in aerosol cans on 16 or 32 g, on 1 cylinder in a cardboard pack complete with the raspylitelny device and the valve).
Is a part of 1000 mg of an aerosol:
- Active agent: Neomycinum – 11,72 mg (in the form of sulfate);
- Auxiliary components: lecithin – 0,2 mg, sorbitan trioleate – 10,3 mg, propellant (propane/butane/isobutane) – 843,8 mg, isopropyl myristate – 134 mg.
Indications to use
- The skin infectious and inflammatory diseases caused by microorganisms, sensitive to effect of active agent (including contagious impetigo, a furunculosis);
- The infected freezing injuries and burns of I and II degrees.
Contraindications
- Trophic ulcers, the extensive area of defeat, disturbance of integrity of skin, moknuty in a site of application;
- Simultaneous use with other nefro-and ototoksichny medicines;
- Children's age;
- Hypersensitivity to drug components.
Pregnant women can apply Neomycinum only in cases when the advantage for health of mother is higher than possible harm for a fruit. In the period of a lactation breastfeeding should be interrupted.
Route of administration and dosage
Neomycinum is applied outwardly. The cylinder before each use needs to be stirred up several times vigorously.
The struck areas of skin irrigate with an aerosol for 3 seconds, keeping a bottle vertically at arm's length about 15-20 cm from the surface of skin.
Frequency rate of use of Neomycinum – 1-3 times a day with observance of equal periods.
The average duration of a medical course – 7-10 days.
Side effects
During use of Neomycinum the allergic reactions which are shown in the form of an itch, rash, a hyperemia and hypostasis can develop. At long therapy emergence of a contact allergy is possible.
At emergence of the side effects which are not specified in the instruction or aggravation of the disturbances described above it is necessary to see a doctor.
Special instructions
It is necessary to avoid hit of Neomycinum on mucous membranes and to protect eyes from action of an aerosol. At contact of drug with eyes or mucous membranes, they need to be washed out carefully cool water.
It is not necessary to inhale the sprayed Neomycinum.
It is not recommended to apply an aerosol on extensive sites of skin (in particular damaged), and also under occlusive bandages because of probability of absorption of active agent in blood and development of the side effects characteristic of systemic action of Neomycinum (nephrotoxicity, ototoxicity). At emergence of the above-stated disturbances drug needs to be cancelled immediately.
In a case emergence of irritation of skin in a site of application, therapy should be interrupted.
Long therapy can lead to growth of resistant strains of mushrooms and bacteria.
The cylinder with an aerosol cannot be struck, opened and heated.
Medicinal interaction
In order to avoid development of medicinal interactions, it is possible to apply Neomycinum along with other drugs only in coordination with the doctor.
The long combination therapy with nefro-and ototoksichny medicines (including gentamycin, Acidum etacrynicum and colistin) can increase toxicity of Neomycinum.
Terms and storage conditions
To store in protected from light, the place, dry, unavailable to children, at a temperature up to 25 °C.
Period of validity – 2 years.
