Probifor

Probifor – the means regulating balance of intestinal microflora, a probiotic of a biological origin.

Form of release and structure

• Capsules: gelatinous firm, with the case white and kryshechny yellow color; inside – powder from light-till dark gray color with black particles of coal, impregnations of beige color, with a slight sour-milk smell are possible (on 6, 10 or 18 pieces in plastic bottles, on 6, 10, 18 or 30 pieces in plastic banks, in a pack a cardboard 1 bottle or 1 bank);
• Powder for intake: from light-till dark gray color with black particles of coal, impregnations of beige color are possible, possesses a slight sour-milk smell (in multilayer metalpolymeric packages, in a pack of cardboard 6, 10 or 30 packages).

Active agent: Bifidobacterium bifidum (bifidobacterium) occluded on absorbent carbon in 1 capsule and 1 package of powder – not less than 500 million, WHICH (colony-forming units).

Excipient of capsules and powder: lactose.

Indications to use

• Syndrome of diarrhea of various etiology;
• Dysbacterioses of various nature of an origin, including owing to reception of antibiotics, performing radiation, cytostatic or antibacterial therapy;
• The dysbacterioses complicating an intestines divertuculosis, cirrhosis, a viral hepatitis;
• Food toxicoinfections;
• Acute and persistent intestinal infections of virus and bacterial genesis (the rotavirusny infection, shigelloses, salmonelloses and coloenterites caused by stafilokokka or pathogenic microorganisms of a sort of enterobakteriya), and also an unspecified etiology;
• Syndrome of the broken intestinal absorption of various etiology;
• Syndrome of the angry intestines and other functional intestinal disturbances;
• The chronic nonspecific inflammatory diseases of digestive tract which are followed by disturbance of microflora and oppression of reparative processes of a mucous membrane of intestines (colitis, including ulcer, gastroduodenit, a proctosigmoiditis, pancreatitis);
• The expressed dysbacteriosis at newborns, including premature;
• The burdened premorbidal background at newborn children, including premature (for improvement of the period of adaptation).

Complex therapy:

• Acute Respiratory Viral Infections (ARVI) and flu;
• Heavy infectious and inflammatory it is also purulent - septic diseases (including peritonitis and sepsis);
• Some skin diseases (eczema, streptoderma, atopic dermatitis);
• Secondary immunodeficiency, including at newborns;
• Oncological diseases before and after surgical intervention, when carrying out beam and chemotherapy;
• Postgastrorezektsionny frustration and states after a cholecystectomia.

Also Probifor apply in the following cases:

• Complex treatment of surgical patients (including a traumatologic profile) for a preparation for surgery and prevention of development of postoperative complications;
• Training of pregnant women for childbirth, operations of Cesarean section, and also postoperative period.

Contraindications

The probiotic Probifor is contraindicated only in case of individual intolerance of his components.

Drug in the form of capsules is not appointed to children up to 5 years (because of possible difficulties with a proglatyvaniye).

Route of administration and dosage

Probifor it is necessary to accept inside, it is desirable during meal.

Swallow of capsules entirely and wash down with dairy drink or boiled water.

Powder just before reception needs to be mixed with liquid food (optimum – sour-milk, or with boiled water of room temperature, 30-50 ml), to babies – with maternal milk or milk mix for artificial feeding. When mixing with water the muddy suspension with parts of a sorbent is formed, it is necessary to drink it without waiting for full dissolution.

The recommended doses at a syndrome of diarrhea, food toxicoinfection and acute intestinal infections:

• Adults and children are more senior than 7 years – on 2-3 capsules / a package 2 times in days during 3-5 days. Adults for the bystry termination of diarrhea can accept 3 capsules / a package 2 times in days with an interval of 30-60 minutes or on 6 capsules / packages of 1 times in days a course from 1 to 3 days;
• Children of 5-7 years – on 1 capsule 3-4 times a day, if necessary with short intervals of 2-3 hours, treatment duration – 2-3 days if clinical symptoms remain, are possible increase in a course of treatment up to 4-5 days;
• Children are more senior than 6 months – on 1 package 3-4 times a day, if necessary with short intervals of 2-3 hours, treatment duration – 2-3 days if clinical symptoms remain, increase duration of treatment up to 4-5 days;
• Children up to 6 months – on 1 package 2 times a day within 2-3 days, if necessary prolong a course up to 4-5 days.

The recommended doses at chronic pathologies of digestive tract and functional intestinal disturbances:

• Adults – on 3 capsules / a package of 1 times a day during evening meal or on 2 capsules / a package 2 times a day;
• Children are more senior than 5 years – on 3 capsules / a package of 1 times in days during evening meal;
• Children are younger than 5 years – on 3 packages of 1 times a day at supper.

Treatment duration – 5-15 days.

At a severe disease the dose is increased: adults and children are more senior than 5 years – to 6 capsules/packages a day, children from 1 year to 5 years – to 6 packages a day. Treatment in this case can last up to 30 days.

The recommended doses at dysbacterioses, persistent intestinal infections, skin diseases, immunodeficiency, and also for improvement of a current of the period of adaptation at newborns:

• Adults and children are more senior than 7 years – on 2-3 capsules / a package 2 times in days;
• Children of 5-7 years – on 1 capsule / to a package 3 times a day;
• Children of 3-5 years – on 1 package 3 times a day;
• Children up to 3 years and the full-term newborn children – on 1 package 2 times a day;
• Premature newborns – on 1 package 1-2 times a day.

Therapy duration – 7-10 days.

The recommended Probifor's doses at its use as a part of complex therapy of flu and a SARS:

• Adult patients, people of advanced age and children are more senior than 5 years – on 1 capsule / to a package 3 times in days;
• Children up to 5 years – on 1 package 3 times a day.

It is necessary to begin treatment from the 1-2nd day of a disease. It is recommended to accept drug within 2 days.

To pregnant women by preparation for Cesarean section and surgical patients (for decrease in risk of postoperative complications) drug is appointed according to the following scheme:

• In 2-3 days prior to operation – on 1 capsule / to a package 3 times a day, to patients with the intestinal dysbiosis studying antibiotiko-or chemotherapy – within 7 days before operation;
• From 2-7 in the afternoon after operation – on 1 capsule / to a package 3 times a day for 2-3 days, in the presence of indications the course can be increased up to 7-10 days.

Side effects

Probifor accepted in the recommended doses does not cause side effects.

Special instructions

As an auxiliary component drug contains lactose therefore it should be applied with care to patients with a lactose intolerance.

Probifor it is possible to accept during pregnancy and feeding by a breast.

Medicinal interaction

Antibiotics can reduce a therapeutic effectiveness of Probifor, vitamin drugs (especially contents group B vitamins) – to strengthen.

Terms and storage conditions

To store in the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature: capsules – 2-10 ºС, powder – not higher than 10 ºС (the lower bound in this case is not limited).

Transportation of packages of powder is allowed at a temperature up to 20 ºС, but no more than 10 days.

Period of validity – 1 year.
