Amebiasis

Amebiasis (amoebiasis; an amoeba + Greek – iasis – the suffix meaning "disease process or a state"; synonym: dysentery amoebic) – the protozoan infectious disease caused by Entamoeba histolytica; it is characterized by development of the ulcer colitis, inclined to a long current, proceeding with a recurrence and aggravations. Less often the abenteric forms of an amebiasis connected with hematogenous dissimination of the activator from intestines in various fabrics and bodies meet.
