Amfikarion

Amfikarion (amphicaryon; Greek amphi-(prefix) – on both sides, around, dual + Greek karyon – a kernel; synonyms: синкарнон, амфинуклеус) – a zygote kernel which is formed at merge of kernels of female and men's sex cells at fertilization. Amfikarion contains a diploid set of chromosomes.
