Aromorphosis

Aromorphosis (Greek airo – to lift + morphosis – formation; synonyms: an orogenesis, morpho-physiological progress) – the direction of biological development; it is characterized by emergence during evolution of qualitatively new signs thanks to what life activity of organisms begins to proceed at higher level (for example, transition from three - to four-chamber heart).
