Astvatsaturova nasolabial reflex

Astvatsaturova nasolabial reflex (Soviet neuropathologist M. I. Astvatsaturov, 1877-1936; synonym: a reflex nazolabialny) – reduction of a circular muscle of a mouth (the sucking movement) arising at easy percussion at the nose basis. At children till 1 year is a physiological reflex, at later age – a symptom of pseudobulbar paralysis.
