Biopolymers (Greek bios – life, belonging to life, to vital processes + Greek poly – is a lot of + meros – a share, a part) – the high-molecular connections which are in structure of live organisms which molecules are the chains formed of a large number of the repeating groups of atoms; nucleic acids, proteins and polysaccharides belong to biopolymers.
