Bogdanova artificial ankylosis

Bogdanova artificial ankylosis (F. R. Bogdanov, Soviet orthopedist-traumatologist, 1900-1973; arthrodesis, Greek árthron – a joint + désis – binding) – the surgery applied to an extra intra joint artificial ankylosis of an ankle joint at which carry out an osteotomy (section) of a fibular bone over a lateral anklebone, withdrawal of a joint cartilage of collision and tibial bones, cutting out of a bone transplant on a front surface of a distal epiphysis of a tibial bone, with further movement of a transplant down, introduction to a neck of an astragalus and fixing of a lateral anklebone to collision and tibial bones.
