Verigo effect

Verigo effect (B. F. Verigo, domestic physiologist, 1860-1925; lat. effectus – action, execution; synonyms: Verigo-Bor effect, Bohr effect) – dependence of extent of dissociation of oxyhemoglobin on value of partial pressure of carbonic acid in the air filling alveoluses of lungs and blood at which reduction increase in affinity of oxygen to hemoglobin is observed that leads to difficulty upon transition of oxygen from capillaries in fabric.
