Tireotom

Tireotom – the synthetic hormonal drug used for treatment of the diseases caused by a thyroid gland.

Contraindications

Medicinal interaction

Simultaneous use of Tireotom with some medicines can have undesirable effects owing to what it is necessary to be careful. It belongs to such medicinal interactions:

• With indirect anticoagulants (as Tireotom strengthens their influence that can lead to review of the accepted dosage);
• With cardiac glycosides (because of decrease in their influence);
• With tricyclic antidepressants (because of strengthening of their action and increase in risk of development of undesirable effects);
• With asparaginase, anabolic steroids and Tamoxifenum (because of possible pharmacokinetic interaction at the level of protein-binding).

Side effects of Tireotom

As a rule, Tireotom according to the instruction of side effects does not cause.

In rare instances Tireotom's use can cause:

• Progressing of heart failure and stenocardia;
• Allergic reactions.

Storage conditions

Tireotom and analogs of drug belong to the medicinal list B and are released on doctor's orders. It is not necessary to exceed the recommended period of storage of tablets – 3 years.
