Traneksam is fibrinolysis inhibitor. Possesses anti-fibrinolitic action and prevents transformation of plasminogen into plasmin. • For prevention of development of the bleedings caused by the increased system content of fibrinolysin and also for their treatment (bleeding at pregnancy, liver diseases, malignant new growths of prostatic and pancreatic glands, manual department of an afterbirth, puerperal bleeding, operations and the early postoperative period, chorion amotio, leukoses, hemophilia);
• For prevention and treatment of the bleedings caused by local activation of fibrinolysin (extraction of teeth at the patients having hemorrhagic diathesis, a hamaturia, gastrointestinal bleedings, nasal and uterine bleedings).

According to the instruction Traneksam can be used and as antiallergic means for treatment of allergic dermatitis, small tortoiseshells, eczemas. Also Traneksam can be applied in complex therapy of a Quincke's disease (Quincke's edema).

Traneksam routes of administration

Traneksam in tablets accept:

• At the repeating nasal bleedings three times a day on 1,0 g for 7 days;

• After extraction of tooth at patients with hemorrhagic diathesis for prevention of secondary bleeding Traneksam in tablets is appointed at the rate of 25 mg/kg 4 times a day for a week;
• For treatment of a hereditary Quincke's disease drug is appointed courses or it is constant on 1,0 g twice a day;
• In the postoperative period on 1,5 g three times a day within 10 – 14 days.

Traneksam for intravenous drop or jet administration is usually used for a stop of massive bleedings, and also bleedings which arose during surgical intervention. Before an odontectomy sick with the broken coagulability of blood the drug is also administered intravenously, and after extraction appointed Traneksam in tablets.

Side effects of Traneksam

• Loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, diarrhea;
• Drowsiness, disturbances of color perception and sight, weakness, dizziness;

Contraindications
