Wushu

The wushu is the generalized name of the martial arts existing in China. The name consists of two hieroglyphs - "at" and "шу" that in translation from Chinese means "military art".

In fact the wushu is the same, as a kung fu. However by the Russian tradition the term "kung fu" call martial arts, and "wushu" - the gymnastic exercises which are a basis of both physical, and spiritual improvement.

Historically art of wushu arose as the system of knowledge allowing to provide survival of the person in any conditions. Similar preparation helped to develop abilities to bystry adoption of the necessary decision and immediate action. However to wushu it is intended not only for combat training: techniques which are involved by art allow to develop also the hidden abilities of an organism, to quickly recover the spent resources, to achieve improvement and self-improvement.

Wushu gymnastics

The gymnastics of wushu represents a set of exercises, including physical and respiratory practice, excepting spiritual and meditative. It is directed to achievement of flexibility, development of muscles and joints, maintenance of endurance and improvement of an organism.

The gymnastics of wushu has the following advantages:

  • Due to the presentation in wushu of special requirements to flexibility of the athlete, exercise promote development not only of muscles and sinews, but also joints. As speak in the east, "the one who will keep flexibility, will distance an old age";
  • The gymnastics effectively develops cardiovascular and respiratory systems of an organism. It is caused by need of performance of exercises on flexibility and relaxation of muscles;
  • Wushu occupations positively affect development of a musculoskeletal system, formation of a bearing;
  • The rhythmical and at the same time smooth movements of the athlete remove emotional and muscular pressure.

In spite of the fact that by wushu it was originally created as martial art, gymnastic exercises are not imitation of movements in fight, they are carried out smoothly and softly to avoid sprains and sinews.

Before starting gymnastic classes in wushu, it is necessary to observe several important councils:

  • It is the best of all to go in for wushu early in the morning or in the evening, previously having cleared intestines;
  • Do not do exercise on a full stomach or starving to death;
  • Use the free clothes from natural fabrics which are not holding down movements during gymnastics;
  • By ancient Chinese tradition it is necessary to go in for wushu, facing on the North;
  • In exercises use the principle of gradualness, observing moderation in loading;
  • Go in for wushu regularly - at least two weekly.

Wushu for beginners

Regardless of that, the beginner you or the person who goes in for wushu all life each training has to begin with working off of the basic equipment. It joins flexibility development exercises:

  • shoulder girdle;
  • hip joint,
  • lumbar department of a backbone.

After warm-up exercises of occupation of wushu mean themselves performance of racks and blows. Racks are not static positions, but dynamics in operation, special steps which, depending on a situation, differ in a form and length. During an initial stage of studying of racks of wushu for beginners assume the following provision of hands: brushes are pressed to a belt and compressed in fists, elbows are taken away back.

The main racks in wushu:

  • Binbu. Legs together, a back a straight line, weight it is evenly distributed on both extremities;
  • To Mab. The major rack in wushu. It is used not only for working off of technical actions, but also for a training of breath, force of muscles of legs, increase in endurance. Legs are put at shoulder length, feet are directed forward and parallel each other. The athlete squats, bending legs in knees so that hips were parallel to a surface. A back direct, the stomach is pulled in, knees are developed outside;
  • Gunbu. The rack allows to maneuver quickly, giving the chance of drawing powerful blow, as in the movement, and on site. One leg carries out a long step, the leg is bent in a knee. The sock ahead of the standing leg is on one line with a heel behind the standing extremity;
  • Syuybu. The rack is used at kicks, withdrawal with the block and a rupture of a distance. Legs are placed in the parties. We sit down on one leg, having bent it in a knee, we transfer to it all weight of a body. The sock ahead of the standing leg is on one line with a heel of the leg standing behind.

After the pupil learned racks, the wushu for beginners assumes development of the technology of movement in racks both in the direction forward, and in the direction back. The student's task - to learn to pass from one rack into another, considering the correct position of the case, hands and legs.

Wushu for children

According to researches, occupations of wushu improve a psychological condition and physical training of children. Performance of difficult and coordinate movements of a complex of wushu promotes formation of such qualities as endurance, discipline, steadiness, concentration, attention, memory, speed and speed of response. Vigor, optimism, a condition of emotional satisfaction are inherent in the children who are engaged in this type of gymnastics.

During the trainings children carry out the exercises directed to breath stabilization, and also relaxation (nervous and muscular) after classes.

The wushu for children assumes studying of the simplified course, without overload physical exercises, considering a lack of skills of motility and coordination of movements at the child.
