Vulnusanum
Application instruction:
Vulnusanum – antiinflammatory drug for external and topical administration.
Form of release and structure
Vulnusanum is released in the form of ointment for external and topical administration – from yellow till pale yellow color, homogeneous, with a specific smell (on 45 g in aluminum tubas, on 1 tuba in a cardboard pack).
Are a part of 1 g of ointment:
- Active agent: uterine leach of the Pomoriysky lake – 120 mg;
- Auxiliary components: the distilled water – 340 mg; castor oil – 350 mg; anhydrous lanolin – 150 mg; carboxymethylcellulose (C30 Tylose) – 40 mg.
Indications to use
- The varicose ulcers, nipple cracks of a mammary gland, erosion of a neck of uterus, ulcerations arising at a Thrombangiitis obliterans;
- Medicamentous natural reversible changes of epidermis of skin (maceration);
- Purulent wounds of various origin: surgical, infected;
- Superficial purulent processes (including post-injection and pararectal abscesses), wounds of atherosclerotic and posttraumatic character, trophic ulcers.
Contraindications
- Children's age up to 12 years;
- Hypersensitivity to ointment components.
Drug is not appointed to pregnant women.
Route of administration and dosage
Vulnusanum should be applied with a layer up to 3 mm thick on all area of a wound surface and to cover from above with a sterile bandage.
At therapy of nipple cracks of a mammary gland ointment after feeding of the child needs to be applied on area of cracks several times a day.
With a big cavity usually apply up to 10-15 g of ointment to treatment of abscesses. At the beginning of therapy of a bandage it is necessary to change daily, after improvement – every other day.
During treatment of an erosion of a neck of uterus Vulnusanum is applied on a tampon which is entered into a vagina once a day, in the evening. Duration of a therapeutic course – from 10 to 15 days.
Side effects
During therapy development of side effects is possible:
- Local reactions: pain when drawing on ulcers;
- Allergic reactions: urticaria, skin rash, Quincke's disease.
Special instructions
If necessary Vulnusanum can be applied with occlusive bandages.
