Iodinolum
Application instruction:
Iodinolum – outside drug with antiseptic action.
Form of release and structure
Iodinolum is released in the form of solution for topical and external use: the dark blue liquid foaming at agitation with a characteristic smell; on the blank part of a bottle foaming traces are allowed (on 25, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 100, 250, 500, 1000 ml in bottles with a nozzle sprayer or without it, on 1 bottle in a cardboard pack).
Is a part of 1 l of solution:
- Active agent: iodine – 1 g;
- Auxiliary components: polyvinyl alcohol – 9 g, potassium iodide – 3 g, the purified water – to 1 l.
Indications to use
- Purulent surgical diseases;
- Purulent otitis;
- Adenoid disease;
- Ulcers (varicose and trophic);
- Burns (thermal and chemical).
Contraindications
- Herpetiform dermatitis;
- Thyrotoxicosis;
- Hypersensitivity to drug components.
Route of administration and dosage
Iodinolum is applied locally and outwardly.
The scheme of use of drug is defined by indications:
- Adenoid disease: 50 ml of solution wash out supratonsillar space and lacunas of almonds; a course – 4-5 washings with an interval 2-3 days;
- Purulent otitises: 5-8 drops of Iodinolum daily dig in in an ear (ears); a course – 14-28 days;
- Atrophic rhinitis: 2-3 times a week are inhalated in a pharyngeal cavity and a nose (after a preliminary softening and removal of crusts); a course – 2-3 months;
- Trophic and varicose ulcers, purulent wound surfaces and the infected burns, purulent fistulas: apply the gauze friable bandages impregnated with solution.
Side effects
At prolonged use of Iodinolum development of an iodism is possible.
Special instructions
It is necessary to use drug only in stationary conditions.
It is necessary to avoid hit of Iodinolum in eyes.
Temperature is above 40 °C and light accelerate disintegration of active iodine. Decolouration of solution demonstrates decrease in efficiency of drug for a complex cause of destruction with transition of active iodine to iodide ion.
Divorced solution (has to have dark brown coloring) is not subject to long storage.
Medicinal interaction
Iodinolum pharmaceutical is incompatible with ammonia solutions, essential oils, white sedimentary mercury. Acid or alkaline medium, presence of blood, pus and fat weaken its antiseptic activity.

To store in protected from light, the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature above 0 °C.
