Бронхобос

Бронхобос – expectorant medicine which liquefies a phlegm and facilitates further removal it from lungs.

Form of release and structure

Drug is produced in two forms:

1. Capsules – yellow color, opaque, firm, gelatinous, are filled with finely divided powder of white color. 1 capsule contains 375 mg of a karbotsistein – the main active ingredient. Auxiliary components: magnesium stearate, gelatin, corn starch, silicon dioxide colloid. Aluminum blisters on 10 capsules, 3 blisters in cardboard packaging are packaged in PVC/;
2. Syrup – a little viscous, transparent liquid with a raspberry smell, color from pink to saturated-red. Content in syrup of the main active ingredient, a karbotsistein - 125 mg (2,5%) or 250 mg (5%). Auxiliary components: citric acid, alcohol of ethyl 96%, sodium saccharin, sodium hydroxide, глицерол, methylparahydroxybenzoate, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, пропилпарагидроксибензоат, fragrance crimson, an azoruby of CL 14720 (E122), the water purified. Packing – bottles of brown glass on 200 ml of syrup, a cover with control of the first opening, with a measured spoon, in a cardboard pack.

Indications to use

Bronkhobos's use is shown in a case:

• Chronic and acute bronchopulmonary diseases which are followed by disturbance of education and removal of a phlegm (bronchitis, tracheitis, a tracheobronchitis, bronchial asthma, etc.);
• Inflammatory diseases of adnexal bosoms of a nose and middle ear (sinusitis, average otitis, rhinitis);
• Training of the patient for a bronchography or bronkhoskopiya.

Contraindications

Бронхобос in any form of release it is impossible to accept at:

• Hypersensitivity to a karbotsistein and/or excipients of drug;
• Cystitis;
• Peptic ulcer of a duodenum and stomach in an aggravation stage;
• Chronic glomerulonephritis in an aggravation phase.

Syrup of any concentration is contraindicated at:

• Liver diseases;
• Alcoholism;
• Epilepsies;
• Injuries or pathology of a brain.

It is not necessary to use syrup throughout all duration of gestation and during breastfeeding. Drug in the form of capsules is contraindicated in the I trimester of pregnancy.

To take with caution at a peptic ulcer of a stomach and duodenum in the anamnesis.

At a chronic glomerulonephritis in the anamnesis, pregnancy of the II-III trimester and feeding by a breast reception of capsules of Bronkhobos is possible only under careful medical control.

Drug in the form of capsules and syrup of 5% is contraindicated to children up to 15 years. In the form of syrup of 2,5% it is contraindicated to children up to 3 years.

Route of administration and dosage

Drug in any form of release is intended for oral administration.

Syrup:

• To children from 3 to 6 years – on 5 ml of 2,5% of syrup (1 measured spoon) 2–4 times a day;
• To children 6 years – on 5–10 ml of 2,5% of syrup (1–2 measured spoon) 3 times a day are more senior;
• The adult – on 15 ml of 5% of syrup (3 measured spoons) 3 times a day.

Capsules:

To adults and teenagers 15 years in a daily dose of 2,25 g of a karbotsistein – on 2 capsules 3 times a day are more senior.

At achievement of therapeutic effect the daily dose is lowered to 1,5 g – on 2 capsules 2 times a day.

The course of treatment drug should not exceed 8 days. In case of need treatment extensions, consult with the doctor.

Side effects

Bronkhobos's use can cause the following side effects:

• Digestive tract: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and pain in epigastriums, bleeding in a GIT it is (extremely rare).
• Allergic reactions: skin itch, dieback, small tortoiseshell, Quincke's disease;
• Other: weakness, general breakdown, dizziness.

There is a probability of emergence of obstruction of respiratory tracts at elderly patients and patients with bronchial asthma.

Special instructions

At administration of drug in the form of syrup it is important to consider that content of alcohol in it makes 125 mg in one measured spoon (in 5 ml of liquid). It can affect ability of the patient to perform the work demanding special concentration of attention or to manage vehicles and difficult mechanisms because of the reduction of speed of psychomotor answers caused by existence in alcohol blood.

Бронхобос in capsules it is appointed in underdoses if the patient at the anamnesis has data on a peptic ulcer of a stomach and/or a duodenum. In that case, for strengthening of effect of treatment, administration of drug should be combined with physiotherapeutic procedures.

Analogs

Direct analogs of Bronkhobos on active active ingredient (карбоцистеин): Fluifort, Libeksin Muko, Flyuditek, Mukosol, Mukodin.

Terms and storage conditions

It is necessary to store medicine at a temperature of 15-30 °C, in the place, unavailable to children.

Period of validity – 3 years.
