Butadionum

Butadionum – the drug relating to group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Form of release and structure

Drug is produced in shape:

• Ointments for external use of 5% (in aluminum tubas on 20 g and in banks from dark glass on 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 50 g);
• Tablets of 150 mg (in planimetric packagings on 10 and 20 pieces).

Active ingredient of Butadionum is phenylbutazone.

Auxiliary components of ointment:

• Sodium carboxymethylcellulose;
• Polysorbate 60;
• Propylene glycol;
• Metilparagidroksibenzoat;
• Silicon dioxide colloid;
• Liquid paraffin;
• Glitserol of 85%;
• The water purified.

Indications to use

Indications to ointment use Butadionum are:

• Rheumatic diseases of soft tissues (bursitis, tendovaginitis, defeats of periartikulyarny fabrics), pains in muscles of rheumatic and not rheumatic genesis;
• Posttraumatic inflammation of joints and soft tissues (for example, after retension, stretchings, bruises);
• Pseudorheumatism;
• Radiculitis;
• Sciatica;
• The puffiness and pain syndrome interfaced to diseases of joints and muscles;
• Osteoarthrosis;
• Lumbago.

Use of the tablets Butadionum is reasonable at:

• Degenerative and inflammatory diseases of a musculoskeletal system (psoriasis, gouty arthritis, arthritis against the background of a system lupus erythematosus, a pseudorheumatism, Bekhterev's disease (an ankylosing spondylarthritis), an osteoarthrosis);
• Pain syndrome (a tendovaginitis, a mialgiya, migraine, альгодисменорея, a bursitis, an arthralgia, neuralgia, head and a dentagra, pains at burns and injuries);
• The feverish syndrome accompanying infectious and catarrhal diseases.

Contraindications

Contraindications to ointment use Butadionum are:

• Disturbance of integrity of integuments in an estimated site of application of drug;
• Instructions in the anamnesis on allergic rhinitis, a bronkhoobstruktion attack, a small tortoiseshell after therapy by acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs;
• Simultaneous use of other drugs containing phenylbutazone;
• Hypersensitivity of the patient to drug components, and also to acetylsalicylic acid and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs;
• I and III trimesters of pregnancy;
• Lactation period;
• Age less than 14 years.

Contraindications to use of the tablets Butadionum:

• Erosive and ulcer diseases of digestive tract in an acute phase of a current;
• Dekompensirovanny chronic pulmonary and cardiac or heart failure;
• Heavy renal and liver failure;
• "Aspirinovy" triad (a combination recuring polypose of okolonosovy bosoms and a nose, bronchial asthma and intolerance of acetylsalicylic acid and medicines of a pyrazolon row);
• Oppression of marrow;
• Hypersensitivity to drug components.

Route of administration and dosage

At ointment use Butadionum:

Drug is used outwardly. It is recommended to put 2-3 times in knocks an ointment strip with a thin layer of 2-3 cm over the inflammation center, without rubbing. Duration of treatment is 7-10 days. After 10 days of treatment it is necessary to see consultation a doctor.

At use of the tablets Butadionum:

Drug is recommended to accept inside 2-4 times in knocks on 100-150 mg. Treatment duration – from 2 to 5 weeks.

Side effects

Ointment use can cause Butadionum:

• Allergic reactions: generalized skin rash, small tortoiseshell, bronchospasm, Quincke's disease;
• Local reactions: a photosensitization, vesicles, papules, a peeling, eczema, contact dermatitis (reddening, an itch, puffiness of the processed site of skin).

At use of the tablets Butadionum emergence of the following side effects is possible:

• From cardiovascular system and blood: tachycardia, increase in arterial pressure, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, agranulocytosis, anemia;
• From bodies of digestive tract: nonsteroid gastropathy, nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, lock, heartburn, dyspepsia, abdominal pains; at prolonged use in high doses – aphthous stomatitis, an erosive esophagitis, an abnormal liver function, expression of a mucous membrane of digestive tract, a glossitis, bleeding from digestive tract (including hemorrhoidal, gingival);
• From a nervous system and sense bodys: drowsiness, excitement, headaches and dizzinesses, depression, sonitus, decrease in hearing;
• Allergic reactions: urticaria, skin rash, itch, edematous syndrome, bronchospasm, angioneurotic syndrome;
• Others: uterine bleeding, excessive sweating.

Special instructions

For ointment:

It is necessary to avoid hit of drug on open wounds, it is necessary to apply Butadionum only on the unimpaired surfaces of skin. After drawing it is not necessary to apply an occlusive bandage.

Emergence of erubescence is the basis for drug withdrawal.

It is necessary to avoid hit of ointment on mucous membranes and in eyes.

It is not necessary to use Butadionum at treatment of thrombophlebitis of deep veins of extremities.

In the course of therapy it is recommended to protect skin from hit of direct sunshine in order to avoid a photosensitization.

For tablets:

If in the course of therapy there is a need of a research 17 of ketosteroids, it is necessary to cancel administration of drug in 2 days prior to diagnosis.

During use of Butadionum it is necessary to exercise regular control of a functional condition of kidneys and a liver, and also peripheral blood of the patient.

In the course of therapy it is recommended to refrain from implementation of potentially dangerous types of activity demanding speed of psychomotor reactions and special attention.

Analogs

Information on analogs of Butadionum is absent, for purpose of drug with similar therapeutic effect it is recommended to see a doctor.

Terms and storage conditions

Ointment period of validity – 5 years, tablets – 2 years. To store in dry, protected from light and the place, unavailable to children, ointment at a temperature of 8-15 °C, tablets at a temperature not above 25 °C.
