Tsetirizin

Tsetirizin – antiallergic medicine. Blocker histamine H1 receptors.

Structure and form of release

Drug is produced in three dosage forms:

• White, oblong shape of a tablet, the containing 10 mg of a tsetirizin of dihydrochloride everyone. Auxiliary components: monohydrate of lactose, microcrystallic cellulose, titanium dioxide, colloid silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate. In packagings on 7 or 10 tablets.
• The colourless, transparent drops for intake containing 10 mg of a tsetirizin of dihydrochloride in 1 ml. Auxiliary components: acetate sodium trihydrate, the benzoic acid, propylene glycol, глицерол 85%, the distilled water. In bottles droppers on 10 or 20 ml.
• Colourless, transparent syrup for intake, with a banana smell, the containing 1 mg of a tsetirizin of dihydrochloride in 1 ml. Additional components: глицерол 85%, sodium saccharin, banana fragrance, sorbitol of 70%, acetic acid of 20%, пропилпарагидроксибензоат, sodium acetate, methylparahydroxybenzoate, propylene glycol. In bottles from dark glass on 75 or 150 ml, complete with a measured spoon.

Tsetirizin's analogs are the following medicines: Alertsetin, Analergin, Zodak, Tsetrin, Tsetirinaks.

Pharmacological action of Tsetirizin

According to the instruction Tsetirizin is a blocker histamine H1 receptors and makes the expressed antiallergic impact on an organism.

Tsetirizin's use in the recommended dosages has practically no sedative effect, and also antiserotoninovy and anticholinergic. Facilitates the course of an allergy and prevents its development. According to reviews Tsetirizin has anti-exudative and antipruritic effects.

Influences allergic reactions at their early stage, reduces migration of cells of an inflammation. At a late stage of an allergy slows down allocation of mediators. Route of administration of Tsetirizin and mode of dosing

1. Tablets

Drug or Tsetirizin's analogs in the tableted form are accepted by children also adults on one tablet a day, more preferably before going to bed are more senior than twelve years.

Children aged from six up to twelve years, with body weight accept less than 30 kg on half-tablets in the evening, with body weight it is more than 30 kg – on one tablet before going to bed. It is allowed to divide reception of a tablet on two times (half-tablets since morning, half-tablets – in the evening).

2. Syrup

Syrup Tsetirizin appoint to children aged from two up to twelve years, weighing less than 30 kg, in a dosage of 5 ml a day, weighing more than 30 kg – 10 ml a day.

Children are more senior than twelve years and adults accept 10 ml of syrup of Tsetirizin a day.

3. Drops

In the form of drops Tsetirizin children at the age of one-two years in a dosage accept 2,5 mg (5 drops) a day. Aged from two up to six years the dosage makes 5 mg (10 drops) a day. Aged from six up to twelve years children accept drug or Tsetirizin's analog on 10 mg (20 drops) a day.

Children are more senior than twelve years and adults, as a rule, accept 20 drops (10 mg) a day. Administration of drug is carried out in the evening.

Tsetirizin's reception according to reviews at a renal failure demands reduction of a dosage twice.

Contraindications

Tsetirizin's use is contraindicated in the following cases:

• pregnancy and breastfeeding;
