The inula a grass is a perennial plant from Astrov' family which found application in traditional and official medicine.

The inula Altai (it still call high – the plant reaches 2kh meters in height) slows down an intestinal peristaltics, secretory activity, removes bile, possesses expectorant, antiinflammatory, diuretic action.

In medicine the root of the Inula which contains essential oil, inulin, mucous substances, chemical elements showing activity against activators of fungus diseases of integuments is used generally.

It is possible to use the Inula root in pure form (usually take a root of a three-year plant). Collect rhizomes usually in the spring, in the fall.

Indications to use of the Inula

The inula Altai is applied as an antiseptic agent and anti-inflammatory drug to prevention of catarrhal diseases as sudorific, diuretic, an expectorant during cold.

The grass for improvement of digestion, increase in appetite, improvement of allocation of a secret in a stomach, intestines, for disposal of worms, for improvement of a metabolism is effective.

Девясил Adults take the Inula pill on 2-3sht three р / day during meal. Treatment usually lasts one month.

The root of the Inula is applied more in traditional medicine.

For treatment of gastrointestinal diseases and preparation of an expectorant take 1 tsp of dry roots, fill in with the boiled cooled-down water and insist 8 hours. Accept infusion on 0,5st. 4 р / day in 20 min. prior to food.

At skin diseases 100gr. roots boil in 1 l. waters, draw 4 h. The received broth wash affected areas of skin, add to water at acceptance of bathtubs.

For treatment of diseases of skin it is possible to prepare Inula ointment. For this purpose 1st.lozh. the root crushed cook 15 min. from 5 beds. pork unsalted fat. The received weight is filtered, cooled, stored in the refrigerator. The struck places on skin grease with ointment every day, yet there will not occur improvement. Later it is possible to carry out a maintenance therapy – to wash out skin by broth from a root.

Juice from a root of the Inula is applied to treatment of asthma bronchial, cough: it is connected in equal parts to honey and accept on 1y h to a spoon each two hours.

For disposal of worms fill in 100gr. the crushed roots of the Inula of the Altai 250 ml of boiled water, allow to infuse 30-40min. Later studit and filter. To children allow to drink according to one p. to a spoon three р / day, and the adult – on one tablespoon also three р / day to food.

Side effects

Use of the Inula can lead to emergence of an allergy, vomiting, stomach aches.

The overdose of means can lead to poisoning which is shown by the general weakness, hypersalivation, respiratory depression, cordial activity (up to a coma).

Contraindications

Inula the grass is contraindicated at pregnancy, serious heart diseases and vessels, renal pathologies, during feeding of the child a breast, at atherosclerosis.
