Duovit

Duovit – the combined polyvitaminic drug with micro and macrocells.

Form of release and structure

Dosage form – a dragee: two types, from them dragees of red color contain 11 vitamins, blue color – 8 minerals (on 10 dragees (on 5 pieces of red and blue color) in blisters, in a cardboard pack 4 blisters).

Content of active agents is 1 dragees of red color:

• Ascorbic acid C – 60 mg;
• PP niacinamide – 13 mg;
• Alpha tocopherol acetate E – 10 mg;
• Calcium B5 pantothenate – 5 mg;
• Retinolum palmitate A – 2,94 mg;
• Pyridoxine B6 hydrochloride – 2 mg;
• B2 Riboflavinum – 1,2 mg;
• Thiamin B1 mononitrate – 1 mg;
• B9 folic acid – 0,4 mg;
• Kolekaltsiferol D3 – 0,2 mg;
• % B12 0,1 cyanocobalamine in Mannitolum – 0,003 mg.

Active ingredients in 1 dragee of blue color:

• Lactate magnesium a dihydrate – 200 mg (magnesium – 20 mg);
• Hydrophosphate calcium a dihydrate – 64,5 mg (calcium – 15 mg, phosphorus – 12 mg);
• Gland fumarates – 30,3 mg (iron – 10 mg);
• Sulfate zinc heptahydrate – 13,3 mg (zinc – 3 mg);
• Sulfate copper pentahydrate – 4 mg (copper – 1 mg);
• Sulfate manganese monohydrate – 3,1 mg (manganese – 1 mg);
• Molybdate sodium a dihydrate – 0,22 mg (molybdenum – 0,1 mg).

Auxiliary components: lactoses monohydrate, polysorbate 80, глицерол, sorbitol, the castor oil purified the defoaming agent 1510, a dextrose liquid, magnesium stearate, wax emulsion, orange 05073 oil, sucrose.

In addition in structure:

• Red dragees: dye of Opalyuks AS-F-2833G (dye sunset yellow (E110), Ponceau 4R dye crimson (E124));
• Blue dragees: povidone, liquid paraffin, dye AS-20912 Blue indigo carmine (E132).

Indications to use

Duovit's use is shown as preventive drug at the increased need of an organism for vitamins and minerals:

• Period of pregnancy and breastfeeding;
• Big exercise stresses, including active sports activities;
• Irregular, uniform or defective food allowance.

Contraindications

• Age up to 10 years;
• Syndrome of glyukozo-galaktozny malabsorption, hereditary intolerance of glucose and fructose, deficit of invertase-isomaltase;
• Hypersensitivity to drug components.

Route of administration and dosage

The dragee should be accepted in the morning, after food, inside, without chewing and washing down with a small amount of water.

To patients of 10 years Duovit is also more senior appoint 1 dragee of different flowers a day, a reception course – 20 days.

A repeated preventive course can be conducted according to the recommendation of the attending physician or after 1-3 months of a break.

Side effects

Against the background of use of a dragee development of allergic reactions, including reactions of hypersensitivity with an asthmatic component is possible.

Special instructions

Because of existence in Riboflavinum drug color of urine can gain yellow color, it is harmless and should not frighten patients.

Patients with a diabetes mellitus have to consider that the content of sugar in 1 dragee makes 0,8 g, in a day dose – 1,6 g.

E110 and E124 azoic dyes can become the reason of reactions of hypersensitivity with an asthmatic component, with caution patients are recommended to take drug with hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid.

Red dragees in high doses can cause diarrhea as Mannitolum is their part.

The recommended daily dose cannot be exceeded, at unintentional reception of a dragee in a high dose it is necessary to see the attending physician immediately.

Duovit it is not recommended to accept along with other means including vitamins and minerals.

As the day dose of two dragees contains 1,083 g of sucrose, 0,331 g of lactose, 0,237 g of sorbitol, 0,27 g of glucose, drug patients are not recommended to accept with hereditary intolerance of fructose and glucose, with a sprue of glucose or a galactose and insufficiency of invertase-isomaltase.

Medicinal interaction

In case of need simultaneous use with Colestyraminum or antiacid means containing magnesium, aluminum, calcium it is necessary to observe the 3rd one-hour break between receptions as they reduce iron absorption.

Contents in iron preparation and calcium slows down processes of absorption in intestines of tetracycline antibiotics and derivative ftorkhinolon.

Vitamin C increases activity of streptocides and development of side effects, including emergence in urine of crystals.

At a combination to diuretics from group of tiazid the risk of development of a hypercalcemia increases.
