Фервекс – the combined drug used at treatment of acute respiratory diseases as symptomatic therapy.

Pharmacological action

Thanks to the active components which are Ferveks's part drug is effective for reduction of symptoms at acute respiratory diseases.

Paracetamol, influencing the center of thermal control, has febrifugal and analgetic effect, eliminating a headache and reducing the increased temperature.

Ascorbic acid as active component of Ferveks, stimulates immune system, promoting increase in body resistance, and also participates in regulation of carbohydrate metabolism and processes of an angenesis.

Pheniramine, being a blocker histamine H1 receptors, reduces feeling of a congestion of a nose, a rhinorrhea, dacryagogue, sneezing, reddening of eyes and an itch.

Form of release of Ferveks

Фервекс release in the form of powder for preparation of solution in bags with lemon (light-beige color) and crimson (light pink color) taste which part are:

• 25 mg of pheniramine of a maleate;
• 500 mg of paracetamol;
• 200 mg of ascorbic acid.

For children (with banana taste) are Ferveks's part:

• 10 mg of pheniramine of a maleate;
• 280 mg of paracetamol;
• 100 mg of ascorbic acid.

Ferveks's analogs are the following drugs:

• On active components – Fastorik, Flukoldin and Febritset;
• On a way of action – Antigrippin, Antiflu, Kalpol, Apap, Grippostad, Gevadal, Daleron, Ifimol, Kaffetin, Coldrex, Migrenol, Panadolum, Paracetamol, Koldfri and others.

Indications to Ferveks's use

According to the instruction of Ferveks it is shown to use at:

• SARS (as symptomatic therapy);
• Nasopharyngitis.

Contraindications

Фервекс according to the instruction it is contraindicated to apply at:

• Digestive tract erosive cankers (especially in an aggravation phase);
• Portal hypertensia;
• Renal failure;
• Deficit glyukozo-6-fosfatdegidrogenazy;
• Alcoholism;
• Hypersensitivity to Ferveks's components.

Besides, Ferveks should not be accepted aged up to fifteen years, in the first and third trimesters of pregnancy and at a lactation. Drug of Ferveks for children (with the reduced content of active ingredients) can be used in pediatrics of six years.

Фервекс according to the instruction people of advanced age should take with caution, and also at:

• Prostate hyperplasia;
• To closed-angle glaucoma;
• Viral and alcoholic hepatitis;
• Liver failure;
• Inborn hyperbilirubinemias (syndromes Cudgel Johnson, Gilbert and Rotor).

Ferveks route of administration

Before use contents of a bag of Ferveks need to be dissolved in a glass of warm water then the received solution should be drunk at once.

According to indications of Ferveks it is necessary to accept on one bag to three times a day with an interval not less than four hours. The most effective Ferveks's use between meals is considered.

For people of advanced age, and also at development of a disease against the background of abnormal liver functions or kidneys the interval between receptions of solution of Ferveks has to be not less than 8 hours.

Children from six to fifteen years can accept only Ferveks for children in a one-time dosage 1 bag. Frequency rate of reception (with an interval not less than 4 hours):

• 6-10 years – twice a day;
• 10-12 one or three years of time a day;
• 2-15 years – to four times a day.

In cases of reception of Ferveks without medical appointment it is necessary to observe the following duration of administration of drug:

• Up to five days – as analgeziruyushchy means;
• Up to three days – as antipyretic.

At overdose the most significant side effects develop because of the paracetamol which is Ferveks's part. In these cases can be observed:

• Loss of appetite;
• Pallor of integuments;
• Vomiting;
• Nausea;
• Gepatonekroz whose expressiveness depends on extent of the received overdose.

Similar symptoms, as a rule, develop at reception of paracetamol in number of over 10 g, and damages of a liver at the same time develop for six days.

Medicinal interaction of Ferveks

The risk of development of such side effects as dryness in a mouth, an ischuria and locks increases at simultaneous use of Ferveks with antidepressants, protivoparkinsonichesky and antipsychotic means.

The risk of development of glaucoma increases at a concomitant use of Ferveks with glucocorticoids.

Development of heavy intoxication at insignificant overdose by Ferveks is promoted:

• Ethanol;
• Phenytoinum;
• Rifampicin;
• Barbiturates;
• Tricyclic antidepressants;
• Phenylbutazone.

Side effects

According to Ferveks it is well transferred (at reception in the recommended doses).

In certain cases Ferveks, according to reviews, can cause the following disturbances:

• Nausea and pain in epigastric area, is much more rare – dryness in a mouth (alimentary system);
• Skin rash, small tortoiseshell, itch, Quincke's edema (allergic reactions);
• Thrombocytopenia, anemia and methemoglobinemia (system of a hemopoiesis);
• Ischuria (urinary system).

Also at the existing predisposition of Ferveks, according to reviews, can lead to development of drowsiness and paresis of accommodation, and at prolonged use – to a renal failure and a liver.

Storage conditions

Фервекс treats a row febrifugal and the anesthetics allowed for issue without recipe. A period of storage – no more than three years.
