Phymosis

Phymosis specialists call the abnormal structure of a penis which is expressed in the sharp narrowing of a prepuce interfering opening of a head. Extent of release of a balanus at a phymosis can be various – from painful and labor-consuming opening before full adhesion of a prepuce with head skin.

The disease of a phymosis at boys can carry both the inborn, and acquired character. The first case meets most often and even has the name of a so-called physiological phymosis at children which passes independently to a certain age. The acquired phymosis can meet at any age and its reason is, as a rule, covered in the postponed inflammatory diseases of a penis or urethra which led to loss of elasticity and narrowing of a prepuce. Mechanical traumatizing in the field of generative organs is also common cause of a phymosis at adult men.

Existence of a phymosis in any age conducts to various complications as physiological, so the moral plan. First, the head of a penis which is constantly closed by a prepuce is the center of persistent infection at the expense of the accumulating remains of urine and the allocated physiological secret.

Besides, the phymosis inevitably causes psychological sufferings as is a source of sexual frustration at men – from pain during commission of sexual intercourse with the partner to utter impossibility of his implementation in adults. Also lack of necessary and timely treatment of a phymosis at mature men leads them to formation of various complexes and the general neurotization.

Types of a phymosis

1. A phymosis at children

In most cases the phymosis is diagnosed for children aged up to two-three years. As it was already told above, many specialists call this state physiological and claim that treatment of a phymosis at boys shall not consist in an operative measure.

On achievement of age of 6-7 years the phymosis at children, as a rule, passes, and the balanus is released spontaneously. However the parents who decided to wait with operation of a phymosis before achievement of this age should remember obligatory respect for hygiene of generative organs at the child - washing of a head of a penis after each urination. Besides, at a physiological phymosis at boys specialists recommend for an exception of amassment of causative organisms daily processing of area between a prepuce and sensitive skin of a head antiseptic solutions (hlorgeksidiny, miramistiny, etc.).

If after achievement by the boy of seven years of a tendency to opening of a head of a penis it is not observed, then the speech unambiguously goes about surgery of a phymosis in the conditions of a hospital.

2. A phymosis at adults

Phymosis cases occur at adult men rather often. The main reason for the most part of diseases – lack of treatment of a phymosis inborn.

Sometimes the disease unexpectedly arises during puberty of the young man. Because of sharp hormonal splash there is a rapid development of generative organs to education inappropriate each other by the sizes of a prepuce and head of a penis. The similar phymosis at adults carries less expressed degree, than the disease which remained since the childhood.

Phymosis degrees

Specialists classify a disease of a phymosis by extent of opening of a balanus:

First degree. This degree of a phymosis is characterized by the fact that at rest the balanus is easily exempted from a prepuce. To shift a prepuce in a condition of an erection are required to make insignificant efforts.

Second degree. The Eregirovanny penis is not released from a prepuce even at considerable effort. At rest the head is bared freely, or with small work.

Third degree. Attempts to stretch or shift a prepuce from a balanus in a condition of an erection cause sharp pain and formation of gaps with bleeding. At rest, having made considerable efforts, it is possible to exempt a penis head from a prepuce. Problems with the urethral act at a phymosis of this degree are absent.

Fourth degree. The balanus is closed by a prepuce completely. At the beginning of an urination it is inflated prepution (a bag from a prepuce), then urine hardly will be allocated from a narrow opening with a squirt or it is squeezed out by drops.

Phymosis reasons

The main reasons for formation of a phymosis are not finalized yet, but specialists are inclined to connect a disease with insufficient production by an organism of connecting fabric. Such predisposition, as a rule, has genetic character and often to a disease of a phymosis other malformations - pathologies of heart valves accompany, to a varikotsela, flat-footedness and other deviations.

Treatment of a phymosis

Until recently physicians made attempts of treatment of a phymosis by means of medicamentous drugs (for example, hormonal means). But practical results of similar treatment of a phymosis did not give to the patient long-awaited relief.

Today the only thing and the checked method of disposal of a problem is the tsirkumation – the operation of a phymosis representing partial or full trimming of a prepuce.

Such alternative methods of treatment of a phymosis as extension of a prepuce for release of a balanus, are not recommended for independent use in house conditions, especially if it is about children.
