Fliksotid

Fliksotid – drug from group of the glucocorticosteroid hormones used in the form of inhalations.

1 dose Fliksotida Diskus 50/100/250 contains a flyutikazon the propionate microionized 50/100/250mkg respectively.

1 dose Fliksotida Evokhaler 50/100/250 contains a flyutikazon the propionate microionized 50/100/250mkg respectively.

1 nebul (2 ml) of Fliksotid the propionate microionized 0,5 or 2 mg contains a flyutikazon.

Fliksotid – the inhalation medicine possessing the expressed antiinflammatory action on tissue of lungs. Active ingredient – a flyutikazona propionate – the glucocorticosteroid promoting reduction of frequency of attacks of bronchial asthma, reducing bronchial obstruction at sick HZL, improving function of lungs. At Fliksotid's use according to the instruction the expressed therapeutic effect is reached for 4-6 day, and subjective improvement of a state is observed already days later. Fliksotid's bioavailability fluctuates from 10 to 30%. The instruction to use

Fliksotid Diskus

It is used for inhalations. For achievement of desirable effect Fliksotid Diskus it is necessary to use regularly, even at remission. Duration of treatment and a dosage in each clinical situation are selected by the attending physician.

For adult patients depending on severity of pulmonary pathology a dosage Fliksotida Diskus makes 100-1000mkg twice a day. Use of drug is begun with the minimum doses causing therapeutic effect. If necessary the dosage is increased.

For the patients accepting beclomethasone Dipropionas, Fliksotid's dosage makes a half of a dose of beclomethasone.

The maximum daily dosage of Fliksotid according to the instruction makes 2000 mkg.

To the children of 4 years having bronchial asthma, Fliksotid Diskus is appointed in a dose 50-100mkg twice a day. If necessary it is possible to increase a dosage gradually to 400 mkg a day.

To the adult patients suffering from HZL, Fliksotid Diskus is appointed on 500 mkg twice a day.

Fliksotid Evokhaler

Before the first use Fliksotida Evokhaler and also when did not use drug more than a week, it is necessary to spray several doses. It reaches uniform dosing of active ingredient. A mouthpiece it is necessary to clean a minimum once a week. Before use the bottle with drug needs to be stirred up carefully. It is necessary to spray an aerosol during a slow breath. When determining a dosage of drug it is necessary to consider that the single dose has to correspond to a dose of two sprayings Fliksotida Evokhaler.

To children at the age of 1-4 years inhalation is carried out by means of the special delivery device – a spacer Bebikhaler.

Fliksotid Nebuly

This form of drug is applied to inhalations by means of a mouthpiece or a front mask. Also drug can be delivered by means of jet (not ultrasonic!) nebulizer. In need of performing inhalation for a long time, and also for achievement of a small dosage cultivation of drug in physical solution is admissible.

Contraindications to Fliksotid's use

In the instruction to Fliksotid the following contraindications to his use are specified:

• individual intolerance of active ingredient or auxiliary components;
• it is not applied to stopping of attacks at bronchial asthma.

With extra care it is necessary to appoint Fliksotid and analogs of drug children taking into account possible hormonal disturbances. The patients having a pulmonary tuberculosis and a diabetes mellitus need to observe also extra care at purpose of drug.

Side effects of drug Fliksotid

When using drug emergence of the following side effects is possible:

• from a respiratory organs: a paradoxical bronchospasm (at emergence of this symptom it is necessary to use bronkhodilyatator of bystry action), hoarseness of a voice,
• from a metabolism and endocrine system: disturbance of a mineralization of a bone tissue, children have a growth inhibition, increase in concentration of glucose in blood, glaucoma, a cataract,
• from TsNS: hyperexcitability, feeling of alarm, sleep disorder,
• allergic reactions: bronchospasm, small tortoiseshell, Quincke's disease, anaphylaxis.

Special instructions

After each use of drug it is necessary to rinse carefully an oral cavity water. At non-compliance with this rule development of oral candidiasis is possible that quite often serves as the reason of negative reviews of Fliksotida.

Fliksotid's use during pregnancy

Use of drug during pregnancy is possible only when the advantage for mother considerably exceeds risk of possible pathology at a fruit.

Storage conditions

Fliksotid and analogs of drug it is necessary to store at the room temperature far from sunshine. Open nebula are stored no more than 12 h in vertical position. It is strictly forbidden to freeze drug.
