Izofra
Application instruction:
Izofra – the local antibacterial agent with bactericidal action applied in otorhinolaryngology.
Form of release and structure
Drug is produced in the form of spray of nasal 1,25% (on 15 ml in polyethylene bottles, in a cardboard pack 1 bottle complete with the sprayer).
Active ingredient of Izofra – Framycetinum sulfate, in 1 ml of spray – 12,5 mg that 8000 international units (IU) are equivalent.
Auxiliary components: citric acid, sodium chloride, methylparahydroxybenzoate, the water distilled.
Indications to use
- The combined treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of upper parts of respiratory tracts, including rhinitis, sinusitis (on condition of absence of damage of a nasal partition), a nasopharyngitis;
- Prevention of infection and treatment of inflammatory processes after surgical interventions.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to aminoglycosides and components of drug.
Route of administration and dosage
Spray is applied intranazalno.
Keeping a bottle in vertical position, drug is injected into each nostril, having made on one pressing the sprayer.
The recommended daily dosing has age restrictions:
- Adults: 4-6 times;
- Children: 3 times.
The average duration of treatment – 7 days.
Side effects
In isolated cases Izofra's use can cause development of allergic reactions in the form of skin manifestations.
Special instructions
At weak expressiveness or lack of therapeutic effect after 7 days of use spray needs to be cancelled.
It is necessary to observe strictly the dosing mode, especially at treatment of children.
Administration of drug should be made in previously cleared nasal courses.
Medicinal interaction
At Izofra's combination to other drugs of clinically significant interaction it is not established.
Terms and storage conditions
To store in the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature up to 25 °C.
