Pharmacological action
Eucalyptus oil is received from leaves of different types of an eucalyptus. It contains with the structure essential oil, flavonoids, organic acids, tannic and bitter substances, wax, pitches. The medical effect of means is defined by set of effect of compound substances.
According to the instruction Eucalyptus oil possesses the expressed antibacterial, antiseptic, antiviral action. It is known that to 70% of stafilokokk perish when spraying this essential oil. It is a reliable way of disinfecting of air in rooms, and works as prophylactic at risk of infection with respiratory and viral infections.
On researches of scientists, Eucalyptus oil increases immunity, influencing lymphocytes - cells of immune system. It helps at decrease in factors of nonspecific protection of an organism and at secondary immunodeficiences. There are data on a possibility of oil to warn cancer diseases.
Antiinflammatory action is implemented in treatment of infections of urinogenital system (a bathtub with means). Oil helps to cope with pain and puffiness at arthritises.
Topical administration of Eucalyptus oil is effective in treatment of a number of gynecologic diseases – erosion of a neck of uterus, the milkwoman, it normalizes alkaline balance of a vagina.
In addition this means renders spasmolytic, diuretic, soothing, febrifugal, wound healing effects.
At cold Eucalyptus oil eliminates symptoms of cold, cough, a nose congestion. It eliminates an inflammation and developments of stagnation in respiratory tracts. Apply oil to these purposes in a type of steam inhalations. Eucalyptus oil is produced in bottles on 10, 15 and 25 ml.
Indications to use of Eucalyptus oil
This means is used in treatment of infectious and catarrhal diseases – laryngitis, bronchitis, rhinitis, sinusitis, quinsy, pneumonia, tracheitis, tuberculosis. Locally apply at an erosion of a neck of uterus, in complex treatment of arthritises, milkwomen, cystitis, an urethritis, stings of insects, skin inflammatory diseases – furuncles, acne rash, herpes. Means kills pain at mialgiya, neuralgia, bruises.
Contraindications
According to the instruction 
Eucalyptus oil is not applied in case of bronchial asthma, whooping cough, hypersensitivity to drug, at atrophic processes of mucous membranes.
Application instruction of Eucalyptus oil
At cold Eucalyptus oil is inhaled by means of inhalations with use of a steam inhaler. On one procedure 2-3 drops are enough, they are repeated by 2 – 3 times a day. It is impossible to use oil for inhalations by means of the ultrasonic nebulizer.
According to the instruction Eucalyptus oil for bathtubs is used in number of 2 – 4 drops.
For external use drug is applied on clean skin by 2 – 3 times a day. It is impossible to apply oil on the damaged and bleeding surface of skin.
Side effects
Eucalyptus oil is capable to cause allergic reactions. At inhalation small children or persons to allergic predisposition can have a bronchospasm.
