Asarum European – a plant from family of a birthwort family with green, brilliant leaves on shaggy scapes, with the same slightly shaggy stalks, a pungent specific smell. The asarum European in April and May flowers of dark brown-red color, similar to a hand bell, blossoms.

The asarum helps also with neurotic states, at a hyperexcitability, migraine, sleeplessness, headaches. For this purpose prepare infusion or broth of a plant which just before the use part with milk hot or honey.

For preparation of standard daily rate of tincture two teaspoons of an asarum European fill in 250 ml of boiled water, insist in a thermos.

Lotions with broth can be done at the eczema which arose because of nerves.

It is also noticed that not concentrated tincture from leaves of an asarum European helps at gynecologic diseases, raises a tone of veins, accelerates a blood stream, recovers normal cordial activity.

Contraindications

It is undesirable to be treated by an asarum European independently – the plant is poisonous, and exceeding of an admissible dosage can lead to serious violations of work of intestines, stomach, kidneys, a liver, a gall bladder.

At treatment of alcoholism by means of an asarum it is impossible to give more than two spoons of broth for once.

Broths and plant tinctures at heart failure are categorically contraindicated.
