Cryolysis

Cryolysis – the modern technique of treatment of superficial high-quality new growths based on cooling of fabrics up to extremely low temperatures and their subsequent destruction. Actually the cryolysis belongs to area of a cryosurgery and it is considered a surgical method of treatment.Процедура криодеструкции бородавки

The cryolysis is widely applied by liquid nitrogen in cosmetology, dermatology and medicine. So, for example, the cryolysis of warts, condylomas, papillomas and other new growths is popular. The procedure is widely applied to treatment of vascular educations and an erosion of a neck of uterus. In many cases it can successfully replace surgical intervention.

Indications to carrying out a cryolysis

The cryolysis is shown by liquid nitrogen at various pathologies which have the infectious nature or treat defects of skin. The most widespread is the cryolysis of warts. This method is widely used for removal of various new growths of pigmental or vascular type: nevus, hemangiomas, papillomas, condylomas, pigmental granulomas, hyperkeratosis, planocellular cancer, epidermal cyst, melanoma, mastocytoma.

Widely apply a cryolysis liquid nitrogen in gynecology at an erosion of a neck of uterus, condylomas and papillomas of a vagina and vulva, an ectopia of a cylindrical epithelium, a dysplasia of a neck of uterus, a leukoplakia of a neck of uterus and other gynecologic diseases.

Principle of action of a cryolysis

The procedure is performed by means of the special equipment (cryodestructor) or liquid nitrogen. When using a hardware method the tip of the applicator nestles on a required zone then it is cooled up to the temperature of-180-190 degrees Celsius. When using liquid nitrogen impregnate with it a cotton plug then just put to the damaged fabric on a short period (no more than 2-3 minutes).Криодеструкция папиллом на лице

The procedure assumes instant cooling of fabrics due to influence of ultralow temperature. Freezing of intracellular and intercellular liquid results, life activity of cells is broken, protoplasm stops and microcirculation in pathological fabric is broken. There is a fabric destruction. After a cryolysis the destroyed fabrics gradually are replaced with healthy.

Cryolysis stages

For various purposes use different tips which are selected depending on the surface size. At the same time the planes of contact have to be parallel.

Process of a cryolysis is divided into the following stages:

  • Freezing of fabric by means of liquid nitrogen. At the same time fabric becomes dense, cold, white and insensitive. Often it is followed by feeling of a pricking, easy burning and weak pain.
  • After a cryolysis there is collateral hypostasis and the hyperemia lasting from 1 to 3 hours.
  • Emergence of epidermal bubbles which pass 6-24 hours later.
  • The necrosis is torn away completely for 2-6 weeks. After a cryolysis there is a hardly noticeable spot, process of epithelization of defect and surrounding fabric begins.
  • The full angenesis occurs approximately in half a year.

Advantages of a cryolysis

The cryolysis liquid nitrogen has a number of undoubted advantages:

  • the area of a necrosis does not bleed;
  • does not leave scars or hems;
  • ease of the procedure;
  • cryosurgical intervention does not demand anesthesia as bystry cooling has analgetic effect;
  • minimum traumatism;
  • speed of a method;
  • stable desirable effect;
  • the cryolysis is transferred easily and without serious consequences;
  • does not demand long preoperative preparation;
  • in time and after holding a procedure there is an innidiation termination;
  • lack of a recurrence;
  • does not demand postoperative leaving and suture.

Cryolysis shortcomings

  • long healing (up to 21 days);
  • not always there is an opportunity to apply this way of treatment (the big size of a new growth, a hard-to-reach spot, etc.).

Contraindications to a cryolysis

The procedure is contraindicated at acute infectious diseases, and also in the presence of inflammatory process in internals.

Whether you know that:

Blood of the person "runs" on vessels under huge pressure and at disturbance of their integrity is capable to shoot of distance to 10 meters.
