Drug Neyrontin on kliniko-pharmacological group belongs to anticonvulsants.

Indications

The main active ingredient of Neyrontin is габапентин, having the proved ability to prevent developing of spasms.

Drug is prescription and its appointment requires existence of accurate indications. Neyrontin appoint to adult patients with neyropatichesky pains. Also it is shown as monotherapy at treatment of partial spasms, both with existence of secondary generalization, and without it at patients 12 years are more senior. At children of younger age with the same diagnosis Neyrontin apply as an additional tool.

Neyrontin's reception is possible during acceptance of food, and also irrespective of a diet. If it is required to cancel or replace drug, and also to lower its dosage, changes make gradually, within a week.

Sometimes the beginning of a course of treatment of Neyrontin also begin gradually – in the first day 300 mg*1 once a day, in the second – 300 mg*2 once a day, the dose the day before yesterday makes 300 mg*3 once a day. In most cases the daily dose of 900 mg of Neyrontin is standard for adult patients. Sometimes it is increased according to indications up to 3,6 g and even by 4,8 g a day; do it also gradually, increasing a dosage day by day.

It is proved that further increase in a dosage reduces bioavailability of a gabapentin in an organism. At the same time the maximum time interval between Neyrontin's receptions according to the instruction should not exceed 12 hours. Otherwise resuming of spasms can be noted.

To children up to 12 years Neyrontin also appoint three times a day, at the same time expect a daily dosage as 10-15 mkg 1 kg of body weight. Also as well as at adults, achievement of an effective dose is carried out gradually, within 3 days. At children of 3-5 years it makes 25-35 mkg on 1 kg of body weight a day, and is more senior than 5 – 40 mkg. At long reception increase in a daily dosage of Neyrontin up to 50 mkg is reasonable, and the interval between receptions also makes no more than 12 hours.

Drug is produced in the form of tablets and capsules. Treatment by Neyrontin does not demand laboratory control. According to medical appointments it can be combined with other anticonvulsants. For patients with chronic diseases of kidneys decrease in the standard dosage of Neyrontin can be reasonable.

At treatment by Neyrontin it is necessary to adhere strictly to the doses appointed by the specialist and not to allow their exceeding. At overdose of drug it is necessary to see a doctor immediately. Also it is necessary to report without fail to the doctor about other appointed drugs, for the purpose of avoidance of negative effects of their interaction.

Data on Neyrontin's influence on a fruit of the pregnant woman are absent therefore at pregnancy it is appointed only in urgent cases. At purpose of drug in the period of a lactation feeding by a breast will be required to be stopped.

Neyrontin is capable to cause certain side reactions from various bodies and systems. At emergence of similar situations it is necessary to report about them to the attending physician immediately.

Contraindications for Neyrontin's appointment is the age up to 3 years and the increased individual sensitivity to the basic and excipients which are a part of drug. Also during treatment by Neyrontin it is necessary to try to avoid control of vehicles.
