Nolpaza

Nolpaza – the synthetic antiulcerous drug used for treatment of a stomach and a duodenum.

Pharmacological action

Nolpaza has antiulcerous effect, reducing secretion of hydrochloric acid irrespective of the irritant nature. The effect of use drug develops within an hour and reaches a maximum on average in two hours. According to Nolpaz it is transferred well and does not influence motility of digestive tract.

Release form

Drug is produced in the form of the oval tablets of yellowy-brown color covered with a kishechnorastvorimy cover. Each tablet contains 20 mg (Nolpaza 20) or 40 mg (Nolpaza 40) a pantoprazola, on 14 pieces in the blister. Excipients – кросповидон, Mannitolum, sodium a carbonate anhydrous, calcium stearate and sorbitol.

Indications to Nolpaza's use

According to the instruction Nolpaza is applied at treatment:

• Gastroesophageal reflux disease, including heartburn, regurgitation acid and pain when swallowing;
• Eradikation Helicobacter pylori, as a part of a combination therapy with two antibiotics;
• Peptic ulcer of a stomach and duodenum;
• Erosive cankers of a stomach and duodenum which are connected with reception of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs;
• Zollingera-Ellison's syndrome or other morbid conditions which are connected with the increased gastric secretion.

Contraindications

According to the instruction it is contraindicated to Nolpaz to apply at dyspepsia of neurotic genesis, and also at hypersensitivity to active ingredient – a pantoprazol or other components of drug.

Drug is not used up to 18 years, and at pregnancy and in the period of a lactation Nolpaza is appointed only according to strict indications.

Before Nolpaza's use it is necessary to exclude existence of a malignant new growth as treatment can delay diagnosis.

Application instruction of Nolpaza

Nolpaza according to the instruction is recommended to be accepted before a breakfast, or, at double reception, before a breakfast and a dinner.

At heartburn, regurgitation acid and pains when swallowing in easy degree, the recommended dose – 1 tablet of Nolpaza 20 in day, at more severe disease – 40-80 mg a day. Relief of symptoms after Nolpaza's use usually comes after two weeks, an optimum course of therapy – up to two months. For prevention and prolonged use as a maintenance therapy appoint on 1 tablet of Nolpaza 20 in day, if necessary the dose can be raised twice.

Also Nolpaza can be accepted one-time at emergence of symptoms of dyspepsia.

At the erosive cankers of a stomach and duodenum caused by reception of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs usually appoint 1-2 tablets of Nolpaza 40, for prevention accept on 20 mg drug in days, at the same time the course of treatment usually makes not less than a month.

Apply a combination therapy with antibiotics to an eradikation of Helicobacter pylori. Treatment usually continues from one to two weeks. Drug appoint twice a day on 1 tablet of Nolpaza 40.

At Zollingera-Ellison's syndrome and other morbid conditions which are connected with the increased gastric secretion about 80 mg of drug a day divided into two receptions are recommended to accept. Therapy duration in this case is selected individually.

At abnormal liver functions, and also at advanced age the daily dose of Nolpaza according to the instruction should not exceed 40 mg.

In the absence of therapeutic effect in a month of therapy it is recommended to specify the diagnosis.

If necessary it is possible to apply Nolpaza's analogs. Side effects

According to Nolpaz's responses most often causes an abdominal pain, diarrhea or a lock, a meteorism, nausea and vomiting, dryness in a mouth and a headache.

Much less often at administration of drug the arthralgia, dizziness, vision disorders, an itch or rash can develop.

Nolpaza according to reviews extremely seldom causes: increase in activity of hepatic transaminases, severe damages of a liver, a leukopenia and thrombocytopenia, peripheral hypostases, anaphylactic reactions, including an acute anaphylaxis, a mialgiya, painful tension of mammary glands, a depression, intersticial nephrite, Stephens-Johnson's syndrome, a small tortoiseshell, a Quincke's disease, a mnogoformny erythema or a Lyell's disease, a photosensitization, a hyperthermia, weakness, increase in level of triglycerides.

In case of development of undesirable heavy effects treatment by drug should be cancelled.
