Proktosedil
Application instruction:
Proktosedil – means against hemorrhoids.
Pharmacological action
Proktosedil includes a hydrocortisone, Framycetinum, heparin, benzocaine, бутамбен, Esculozidum.
The hydrocortisone is a glucocorticosteroid, he removes an inflammation and symptoms of an allergy.
Framycetinum – the antibiotic intended for topical administration, suppressing activity of a klebsiyella, enterobakter, a shigella, protiums, salmonellas, a pyocyanic stick, some strains of streptococci and stafilokokk.
Heparin is an anticoagulant, anticlotting.
Benzocaine has the anesthetizing effect, is intended for topical administration.
Butamben is the anesthetic having anesthetic and antipruritic effect.
Esculozidum – the substance reducing fragility of capillaries.

Proktosedil release in the form of ointment and rectal candles.
Proktosedil has no direct analogs: drugs with the same structure are not produced.
Drugs with similar action and structure: Gepazolon (contains heparin, lidocaine and Prednisolonum), Gepatrombin (contains Prednisolonum, heparin and лауромакрогол), Aurobin (contains d-pentenol, lidocaine and Prednisolonum), Nigepan (contains heparin and benzocaine).
Indications to use
Proktosedil appoint for treatment of proctal cracks, perianal eczema, cracks of a mucous rectum, a proctitis, acute outside or internal hemorrhoids, puerperal hemorrhoids. Also drug is used for elimination of an itch in the field of an anus.
Proktosedil's analogs according to the specified indications can be used only after consultation with the doctor.
Proktosedil's instruction: route of administration
Rectal candles Proktosedil apply daily, enter on one candle in the evening, in the morning and after each act of defecation.
Ointment use frequency the same. Means is applied on area of an anus, on those sites where pain or an itch is felt or entered into an anus by means of the special applicator.
Ointment and rectal candles Proktosedil use no more than a week.
Side effects of Proktosedil
There are reviews of Proktosedila confirming that it causes dryness mucous, burning, development of consecutive infection.
At long use of ointment or rectal candles the system side effects provoked by a hydrocortisone can develop: a steroid diabetes mellitus, disturbance of a menstrual cycle, a hirsutism, oppression of function of adrenal glands, a hypernatremia, the increased sweating, euphoria, sleeplessness, a disorientation, dizziness, a headache, a depression, bradycardia, supertension, arrhythmia, pancreatitis, a meteorism, nausea, bleedings from a GIT, osteoporosis, a rupture of sinews, steroid eels, candidiasis, striya, petechias, allergic reactions.
Contraindications
In Proktosedil's instruction it is specified that he is contraindicated at fungal, virus or tubercular infection of area of an anus, at hypersensitivity to a hydrocortisone and other components of ointment and candles.
At pregnancy Proktosedil it is impossible to apply in spite of the fact that the observing gynecologists practice purpose of ointment and rectal candles at the hemorrhoids which are often arising at pregnant women. It is better to replace Proktosedil at pregnancy with means on a natural basis since a glucocorticosteroid, the antibiotic or heparin can cause serious side effects in mother and negatively affect fetation.
