Rinonorm
Application instruction:
Rinonorm – the vasoconstrictor reducing a hyperemia and hypostasis of mucous membranes of a nasopharynx. It is applied in the LOR-expert.
Form of release and structure
Dosage form – spray nasal dosed 0,05% (for children) and 0,1%: transparent colourless solution (on 15 ml in the bottles from dark glass equipped with the portioning device and a nozzle for a nose in a pack from a cardboard 1 bottle).
Active agent: xylomethazolinum a hydrochloride – 0,5 or 1 mg in 1 ml.
Auxiliary components: citric acid monohydrate, глицерол 85%, sodium citrate a dihydrate, water for injections.
Indications to use
Symptomatic treatment:
- Acute sinusitis and exacerbation of chronic sinusitis;
- Acute rhinitis of a bacterial and virus origin;
- Acute allergic rhinitis;
- Acute average otitis (for reduction of hypostasis of a mucous membrane of an Eustachian tube).
Rinonorm also appoint during training of the patient for holding diagnostic procedures in the nasal courses.
Contraindications
- Children's age up to 2 years – for 0,05% of spray, up to 10 years – for 0,1% of spray;
- Atrophic (dry) rhinitis;
- States after a hypophysectomy;
- Closed-angle glaucoma;
- The accompanying use of tricyclic antidepressants or monoamine oxidase inhibitors;
- Pregnancy;
- Hypersensitivity to any component of Rinonorm.
With care:
- Lactation period;
- Diabetes mellitus;
- Hyperthyroidism;
- Serious illness of heart;
- Arterial hypertension;
- Simultaneous use of Bromocriptinum.
Route of administration and dosage
Rinonorm is applied intranazalno.
To adults and children 10 years are more senior appoint 0,1% spray – on 1 dose in each nasal course to 3 times/days.
To children of 2-10 years appoint 0,05% spray – on 1 dose in each nasal course to 3 times/days.
1 dose corresponds to 1 pressing the piston and makes 0,14 ml of solution.
The interval between introductions has to be not less than 6 hours. The maximum frequency rate of use of drug – 4 times a day.
Duration of continuous treatment – no more than 7 days.
Before instillation of spray it is necessary to clear the nasal courses of a secret.
During administration of drug it is necessary to take an easy breath through a nose.
Side effects
- Local reactions: burning sensation and dryness of a mucous membrane of a nasal cavity; seldom – irritation of a mucous oral cavity, a nose and/or throat;
- From cardiovascular system: extremely seldom (is more rare than in 1 case from 10 000) – disturbances of a cordial rhythm, increase in arterial pressure;
- From the central nervous system: seldom – a headache; extremely seldom – a hyperexcitability, sleeplessness;
- Others: seldom – nausea; extremely seldom – reactions on skin.
Special instructions
Negative impact on the speed of psychophysical reactions of the person and his ability to concentration Rinonorm does not pay attention.
Medicinal interaction
At the same time applied monoamine oxidase inhibitors increase risk of increase in indicators of arterial pressure.
Tetra-and tricyclic antidepressants can increase systemic action of xylomethazolinum.
Terms and storage conditions
To store in the place, unavailable to children, without exceeding temperature of 25 °C.
Period of validity – 3 years, after the first opening of a bottle – 1 year.
