Synthomycin – bacteriostatic antibiotic drug of a broad spectrum of activity.

Pharmacological action

Синтомицин в виде мази Synthomycin is the antibiotic drug based on levomycetinum as main acting a component. Drug makes impact on process of synthesis of proteinaceous structures in a cell of bacteria, slowing down transportation of amino acids to peptide chains that, as a result, leads to disturbance of proteinaceous synthesis. Synthomycin actively influences on activators of intestinal, purulent bacteria and a meningococcal infection. Drug is not used for suppression of acid resisting, anaerobic bacteria, some strains of stafilokokk, the elementary microorganisms and mushrooms.

Is issued in the tableted form, granules of white or white-yellow color, in the form of an emulsion.

Indications to Synthomycin use

Drug is widely used for treatment and prevention of inflammatory diseases of integuments and mucous (a furunculosis, an anthrax, purulent wounds, skin erosive cankers, burns, cracks of a mamillar zone at women in labor).

In reviews of Synthomycin it is told that drug well proved in gynecology as means for treatment of bacterial infections of bodies of a cavity of a small pelvis.

At internal use of Synthomycin the operating component well is soaked up in a stomach and intestines that provides its bystry comprehensibility. Drug keeps in an organism during seven - ten hours after reception, and then is removed with urine and bile.

Instructions

Drug is accepted internally and outwardly. The mode of use is defined individually after preliminary consultation with the attending physician. The daily dose for adults makes 3-4 receptions, a single dose for children to three-year age – from 10 to 15 mg/kg from body weight, from three to eight years - 0,15-0,2 g. Children are more senior than eight years – on 0,2-0,3 g.

As a rule, Synthomycin is accepted throughout seven - ten days. At good tolerance of drug – up to two weeks.

In the instruction to Synthomycin it is told that at topical administration the emulsion is applied on the damaged sites directly, or, previously having impregnated with linimentum, impose sterile bandage or gauze bandages. In one-three days carry out bandagings to full clarification of affected areas of skin.

Contraindications

In reviews of Synthomycin there are data on need of respect for precautions to use of drug at hypersensitivity to its ingredients.
