Without healthy gums there cannot be healthy teeth and vice versa. Prosthetists, as a rule, are engaged in those patients who already visited consultation at the stomatologist-therapist, however the doctor did not find it possible to recover tooth the means. The prosthetist, in turn, offers the patient options of prosthetics and removes molds of teeth on the basis of which the dental technician makes prostheses. After that the prosthetist carries out their fitting, adjustment and fixes in the patient's mouth.

Today the dentist can be engaged in denture treatment in various options – crowns, tabs, bridges and implants. Removable prostheses are also applied, but eventually resort to their use more and more seldom.

The orthodontist specializes in correction of a bite. Malocclusion – quite widespread problem which has not only esthetic character. Malocclusion often disturbs the correct pronunciation of the speech and, sometimes, becomes a cause of illness of gums and teeth. On consultation the orthodontist chooses for the patient special briquettes or a kappa.

The children's stomatologist is engaged in dental care at patients aged from 0 up to 17 years. Teeth and jaws at the child are in this age period at a formation stage therefore in a task of the children's stomatologist enters to consider all features of age development. The doctor not only treats caries of teeth, but also monitors formation of a bite and teeth.

However, preferential, highly skilled stomatologists are beyond the narrow specialties. So, for example, the stomatologist-therapist can successfully combine the profession with duties of a parodontolog, that is be engaged also in treatment of gums.

Stomatologists of the general profile in private dental clinics are especially demanded. Such dentist can easily inspect the patient, independently make the diagnosis, make successful treatment planning and carry out it.

What skills the stomatologist has to have?

The dentist has to be ready that he should improve the skills constantly.

He thoroughly has to know physiology and anthropotomy, in particular a structure of teeth, oral cavities, jaws.
