Pharmacological properties of Struktum

According to the instruction Struktum contains sulfate in quality of the main active ingredient of chondroitin. It is mucopolysaccharide, complex on a structure, from group of glikozaminoglikan which is received by fermentation and deep cleaning from cartilages of a trachea of young chickens.

Unlike the analogs Struktum contains chondroitin with the biggest degree of a sulfatnost that allows it to attract and keep the greatest possible amount of liquid in a cartilage. It improves elasticity and elasticity of cartilages of joint surfaces.

The chondroitin structure in Struktum more than at other hondroprotektor is brought closer to human. Drug tropine to synovial fluid of joints, selectively collecting in it. Struktum contains chondroitin with the lowest molecular weight therefore it is better than others gets through a synovial membrane, collecting in it, feeds and recovers a joint cartilage. Chondroitin is a basis for creation of gialouronovy acid which greases joint surfaces and reduces friction. Thanks to all listed qualities unlike the analogs Struktum quicker and stronger renders medical effect. Drug slows down a resorption of bones, accelerates their healing, for example, at changes, reduces calcium loss by an organism at osteoporosis. Keeping the initial thickness of a cartilage, there is a depreciation of load of joints better.

The effect of Struktum's use occurs not right after the beginning of reception, and in several weeks, chondroitin has to manage to collect in synovial fluid, and the metabolism in osteoarticular fabrics occurs not so intensively. But after the termination of a course of treatment positive influence of drug on joints remains before half a year, on average as much how many administration of drug lasts.

Positive influence at Struktum's use on sheaves is noted – they become steadier against compression and stretching.

The medicine pharmacodynamics is well studied. About 70 its % at intake are soaked up, the maximum quantity in blood is found in 3-4 hours, in joint liquid in 4-5 hours. Drug has low bioavailability – only 13%, generally it is connected with complex structure of a molecule of chondroitin. Removal from an organism happens bodies of an urinary system. At simultaneous use with medicine of indirect anticoagulants action of the last amplifies.

Release form

Drug is produced in capsules on 250 mg and 500 mg.

Indications to Struktum's use

Struktum according to the instruction is recommended in treatment of degenerative diseases of a backbone and joints – osteoratroz, arthropathies, at backbone osteochondrosis.

Contraindications to use

Drug is not recommended to use at the raised bleeding of various origin and thrombophlebitises, in case of hypersensitivity to components. During pregnancy, and children up to 15 years have a lactation no researches about safety of use of Struktum.

Application instruction of Struktum

Struktum accept inside, washing down with water. The drug one dosage – since 15-year age it makes 1 g/days (on 500 mg 2 times a day), the initial course can make of 6 months. If necessary the doctor can recommend repeated courses depending on a stage of degenerative process.

Side effects

Drug is well transferred, occasionally there can be allergic reactions in the form of a small tortoiseshell, an erythema, a skin itch, and also nausea or vomiting.
