Antibodies (Greek anti-– against; opposite property, action, situation + bodies) – globulins of blood serum of animals and the person which are formed in response to hit in an organism of various antigens (belonging to viruses, bacteria, proteinaceous toxins, etc.) and specifically interact with these antigens.
