Bronchophony

Bronchophony (bronchophonia; broncho-(bronkho-); Greek bronchos – a windpipe; the prefix designating communication with bronchial tubes + Greek phone – a sound, a voice) – the audibility of his voice noted at auscultation of a thorax of the patient; strengthening of a bronchophony is observed at the plotnostenny cavities which are available in a lung reported with a bronchial tube and at consolidation of pulmonary fabric, and weakening – over area of a pleural exudate or atelectasis.
