Helmholtz theory of color sensation (N. of L. F. Helmholtz, German physicist and physiologist, 1821-1894; synonyms: the theory of color sensation ternary, Lomonosowa-Uenga-Helmholtz the theory of color sensation) – the theory of color sensation according to which in an eye the singular elements intended for perception of violet, green and red colors are located; perception of other flowers is caused by interaction of these elements.
