Varicosity

Varicosity (varicosis; lat. varix, varicis – expansion of a vein, varicose swelling + Greek - Usis (словообраз. a suffix) – a disease; synonym: varicosity) – pathological damage of peripheral veins at which functional insufficiency of valves with disturbance of a normal blood-groove, uneven increase in their gleam with emergence of protrusion of a wall and development of nodularlike crimpiness of vessels is noted.
