Application instruction:
Вигамокс – the local antibacterial drug used at treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis.
Form of release and structure
Вигамокс produce in the form of 0,5% of eye drops, in plastic bottles droppers 3 ml and 5 ml, on 1 bottle in a cardboard pack.
5 mkg of active agent – a moksifloksatsin are a part of 1 ml of drops.
Indications to use
Вигамокс appoint for treatment of the bacterial conjunctivitis caused by microorganisms, sensitive to effect of active agent (moksifloksatsin).
Contraindications
- Lactation period (feedings by a breast);
- Children's age till 1 year;
- Hypersensitivity to components of drug or to other hinolona.
Vigamoks's use during pregnancy (category C on FDA) is possible only in cases when the expected therapeutic effect for mother exceeds possible risk for the child.
Route of administration and dosage
Вигамокс it is intended for topical administration.
To children of 1 year and the adult dig in 3 times a day on 1 drop in the affected eye. As a rule, improvement of a state occurs in 5 days. Therapy needs to be continued within 2-3 days. If in 5 days the state does not improve, it is necessary to specify the diagnosis and correctness of purpose of treatment.
Duration of use of Vigamoks is defined by weight of a state, and also the bacteriological and clinical course of a disease.
Side effects
At Vigamoks's use can develop:
- System reactions. Most often (1-10% of patients) have a dysgeusia. Seldom (at 0,1-1% of patients) were observed: paresthesia, a headache, decrease in hemoglobin of blood, pharyngolaryngeal pain, feeling of discomfort in a nose, feeling of a foreign body in a throat, increase in levels of alaninaminotranspherase (ALT) and gamma глутамилтрансферазы (GGT), vomiting;
- Local reactions. In most cases (at 1-10% of patients) they are shown as syndromes of a "dry" eye, pain, an itch and irritation in an eye, a hyperemia of an eye and a conjunctiva. Sometimes (at 0,1-1% of patients) develop: a dot keratitis, defect of an epithelium of a cornea, conjunctivitis, subconjunctival hemorrhage, eye hypostasis, unusual feelings in an eye, sight misting, feeling of discomfort in eyes, an erythema a century, decrease in visual acuity.
As a result of carrying out post-market researches it was established that Vigamoks can bring to razvitiyutaky side effects (frequency is unknown):
- System reactions: itch of integuments, dizziness, heartbeat, nausea, short wind, rash, erythema, hypersensitivity;
- Local reactions: formation of defects of a cornea, an ulcer keratitis, allocations from eyes, the entophthalmia, a cornea erosion, increase in intraocular pressure, opacification of an iinfiltrata of a cornea, allergic reactions of an eye, adjournment on a cornea, cornea hypostasis, a keratitis, the raised slezootdeleniye, photophobia, swelled a century, a blepharitis, feeling of a foreign body in an eye.
At emergence of allergic reactions drug should be cancelled.
Special instructions
Prolonged use of an antibiotic can lead to the excess growth of unreceptive microorganisms, including mushrooms. At development of superinfection drug should be cancelled then to appoint adequate therapy.
The bottle needs to be closed after each use.
It is impossible to touch with a bottle dropper tip with drug any surface, it will help to avoid pollution of a bottle and its contents.
After Vigamoks's use perhaps temporary decrease in clearness of visual perception, and until its recovery to drive the car and to be engaged in the types of activity requiring from the patient of the increased reaction and attention it is not recommended.

To store in protected from light, the place, dry, unavailable to children, at a temperature of 2-25 °C.
