Antiflu

Antiflu – the medicine intended for elimination of symptoms of cold and treatment of acute respiratory diseases. Drug possesses analgeziruyushchy, febrifugal, antiallergic, antiinflammatory and vasoconstrictive action.

Form of release and structure

Antiflu is issued in two forms – tablets, coated, and powder for preparation of solution for drink.

Each tablet contains 325 mg of paracetamol, 5 mg of Phenylephrinum of a hydrochloride and 2 mg of chlorphenaminum of a maleate. Tablets are issued in the blister on 12 pieces (in 1 cardboard packaging 1 blister).

Powder for preparation of solution for drink contains paracetamol 650 mg, Phenylephrinum of a hydrochloride of 10 mg and chlorphenaminum of a maleate of 4 mg. In packaging of 5 bags.

Indications to use

According to the instruction, Antiflu is used for a symptomatic treatment of flu, catarrhal diseases and a SARS.

Contraindications

Antiflu's use has the following contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to medicine components;
• Renal failure;
• Portal hypertensia;
• Alcoholism;
• Pregnancy;
• Lactation period;
• Children's age up to 6 years (for tablets) and up to 12 years (for powder).

Drug should be used with care at closed-angle glaucoma, bronchial asthma, a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, blood diseases, a diabetes mellitus, a hyperthyroidism, prostate adenoma (if in the anamnesis there were difficulties of an urination).

Route of administration and dosage

Tablets and powders for preparation of hot drink are accepted inside.

According to the instruction to Antifl, adults and children 12 years are more senior reception of 1 tablet each 4 hours (6 times a day), the maximum daily dose – 8 tablets is recommended. To children from 6 to 12 years the dosage of drug is calculated on the body weight of the child (proceeding from the content of paracetamol – 10-15 mg on 1 kg of weight). Approximately Antiflu's reception on 1 tablet 2 times a day with an interval not less than 6 hours is recommended to children from 6 to 12 years.

Drug in the form of powder should be dissolved in a glass of hot water. Adults and children are more senior than 12 years can accept no more than 4 packages a day.

Duration of reception of Antiflu should not exceed 3 days. In case of lack of due effect (preservation of febrile temperature, intoxication), and also at emergence of new symptoms of a disease it is necessary to consult with the doctor for establishment of the exact diagnosis and correction of treatment.

Side effects

Antiflu's use can cause allergic reactions, a sleep disorder, a headache, dizziness, feeling of fatigue, nausea, vomiting, dryness in a mouth, an urination delay.

The overdose by drug is caused, as a rule, by reception of the raised paracetamol dose (over 10-15 g per day) and has the following manifestations: pallor of integuments, lack of appetite, nausea, vomiting, pains in upper parts of a stomach. In hard cases development of a liver failure, encephalopathy and coma is possible. Treatment comes down to a gastric lavage, purpose of enterosorbents and performing detoksikatsionny therapy.

Special instructions

Antiflu strengthens effect of sedative drugs and ethanol.

Administration of drug together with antidepressants, protivoparkinsonichesky and antipsychotic means increases probability of emergence of a delay of an urination, dryness in a mouth and locks.

The risk of toxic action on a liver in case of Antiflu's combination with barbiturates, carbamazepine, rifampicin, dipheninum, a zidovudine increases.

During treatment it is necessary to refuse alcohol intake, somnolent and soothing medicines. Also it is necessary to refrain from management of transport and performance of the work demanding the increased concentration of attention.

Antifla cannot be accepted with other drugs containing paracetamol. In case of lack of effect of treatment within 3 days it is necessary will see behind consultation a doctor.

Conditions and periods of storage

Drug should be stored in the dry place at the air temperature of 15-25 °C. To protect from children.

Period of validity – 3 years of date of production.
