Belara

Belara – the combined peroral contraceptive drug.

Form of release and structure

Belara is issued in the form of light pink round tablets, film coated (on 21 pieces in planimetric packaging).

Content is to 1 tablet:

• Active agents: ethinylestradiol – 0,03 mg, a hlormadinona acetate – 2 mg;
• Excipients: titanium dioxide (E171), talc, magnesium stearate, a macrogoal 6000, corn starch, propylene glycol, K30 povidone, lactoses monohydrate, a gipromelloza of 6 MPas × with, iron III dye oxide red (E172).

Indications to use

Belara is applied to peroral contraception.

Contraindications

• Uncontrollable diabetes mellitus and diabetes with vascular complications;
• Existence of thromboses, the multiple or expressed risk factors of venous or arterial thrombosis, and also existence of symptoms of an embolism and thrombophlebitis;
• Acute renal failure, hepatitis, existence of tumors of a liver, jaundice, abnormal liver functions;
• Uncontrollable arterial hypertension or significant increase in arterial pressure;
• Syndromes Cudgel Johnson and Rotor;
• The diseases which are followed by bile outflow disturbance;
• Existence of hormonedependent malignant diseases;
• Pancreatitis;
• Heavy depression.

Contraindication to administration of drug are also the following diseases / states:

• Bleeding from a vagina or an amenorrhea of not clear etiology;
• Inflammatory diseases of female generative organs;
• Migraine or frequent attacks of headaches;
• Epilepsy;
• The expressed disturbances of metabolism of lipids;
• Porphyria;
• Vision disorder and hearing, and also motive disturbances;
• Hypersensitivity to the components which are a part of tablets.

At pregnancy confirmation Belara's use should be stopped.

It is not recommended to accept drug during feeding by a breast as it reduces amount of the produced milk and changes its structure. Belara's reception when smoking aged is also contraindicated 35 years are more senior.

Drug is taken with caution:

• Convulsive syndrome;
• Diabetes mellitus with an uncomplicated current;
• Autoimmune diseases;
• Obesity;
• Renal failure;
• Endometriosis;
• Chronic heart failure;
• Multiple sclerosis;
• Arterial hypertension;
• Disturbance of metabolism of fats.

Within the first months of use of Belara there can be irregular bleedings from a vagina. In this case it is recommended to undergo additional inspection.

Route of administration and dosage

Belara's pill is recommended to be taken at the same time. The first pill is taken in the first day of a menstrual cycle. After 21 days of reception it is necessary to take a break in 7 days during which menstrualnopodobny bleeding has to begin. After a break it is necessary to resume administration of drug. A pill is taken from a pack with marking of the corresponding day.

Upon transition from other hormonal contraceptive with the maintenance of 28 tablets, the 7-day break is not done, taking the first pill of Belara from new packaging right after end of old. At the same time additional contraceptive measures are not required. Upon transition from the contraceptives containing only гестаген administration of drug can be begun without interruption, in any day of a menstrual cycle.

In case of developing of vomiting or diarrhea against the background of administration of drug it is recommended to apply additional methods of contraception as contraceptive effect of drug decreases.

Side effects

Most often Belara's reception causes a mastodynia, a headache and bloody allocations from a vagina. Are in addition noted:

• Decrease in auditory acuity, visual disturbance, sonitus, discomfort when carrying contact lenses and conjunctivitis;
• Irritability, depression, dizziness, migraine;
• Collapse, arterial hypertension or hypotension, varicosis;
• Muscular pains and dorsodynia;
• Nausea, vomiting, meteorism and diarrhea;
• Acne rash, pigmentation disturbances, allergic skin reactions, hloazma, hair loss, xeroderma, urticaria, eczema, erythema, itch, strengthening of psoriasis;
• Passing hypostases, fatigue, increase in body weight, weight in legs, strengthening of appetite and increase in sweating;
• Strengthening of mucous allocations from a vagina, genital candidiasis, a premenstrual syndrome, an amenorrhea, a dysmenorrhea, pains in a small pelvis, increase in mammary glands, an ovarian cyst.

At Belara's reception the risk of development of the following diseases can increase:

• Diseases of biliary tract;
• New growths of a liver and mammary gland;
• Venous and arterial thromboembolism;
• Inflammatory diseases of intestines.

Special instructions

At Belara's reception it is necessary to consider that some medicines can reduce contraceptive effect:

• All drugs increasing motility of digestive tract or breaking absorption including absorbent carbon;
• Rifabutin, modafinit, rifampicin, carbamazepine, Phenytoinum, окскарбазепин, топирамат, phenylbutazone, St. John's Wort drugs, фелбамат, griseofulvin, barbiturates, барбексаклон, Primidonum and ритонавир;
• Antibiotics – tetracycline, ampicillin, rifampicin and some other.

At simultaneous use of Belara with such medicines it is recommended to use additional barrier methods of contraception throughout all course of treatment these drugs and within a week after it.

Before Belara's reception it is recommended to conduct full medical examination to exclude the possible states or diseases entering the list of contraindications.

It is necessary to consider that drug does not protect from sexually transmitted infections, including HIV infection (AIDS).

With tendency to development of a hloazma during Belara's use it is necessary to avoid direct sunshine and UF-radiation.

Terms and storage conditions

Drug is released according to the recipe of the doctor.

To store at a temperature up to 25 °C.

Period of validity – 2 years.
