Betasalik
Application instruction:
Betasalik treats a number of glucocorticosteroid drugs (the subclass of adrenal hormones exerting strong impact on carbohydrate metabolism) of local action.
Form of release and structure
Drug is produced in the form of homogeneous ointment (on 15 g in tubas, in a pack a cardboard 1 tuba).
In 100 g of drug contains:
- Salicylic acid – 3 g;
- Betamethasone Dipropionas – 0,064 g.
Additional substances: vaseline, liquid paraffin medical.
Indications to use
- Psoriasis;
- Neurodermatitis;
- Eczema in an acute and chronic form;
- Red flat deprive;
- Seborrheal dermatitis;
- Dyshydrosis;
- Ichthyosis and ichthyotic defeats;
- Seborrhea of a pilar part of skin;
- Atopic dermatitis in a chronic form.
Contraindications
Betasalik is contraindicated at skin displays of the following diseases:
- Tuberculosis;
- Primary viral infections;
- Fungal infections;
- Syphilis.
Also it is not necessary to use this hormonal ointment in the presence of eels (including pink), reactions on skin after inoculations, hypersensitivity to medicine components.
Route of administration and dosage
Betasalik is allowed to apply only outwardly locally. Ointment is applied on an affected area a thin layer, accurately rubbing in skin, 2 times a day. At some diseases, as well as in case of a maintenance therapy, it is enough to apply drug once a day.
The course of treatment is stopped after disappearance of symptoms: removals of an inflammation, termination of an itch, clarification of integuments. It is necessary to consider that duration of use of ointment of Betasalik should not exceed 10 days.
It is authorized to use ointment for children aged 2 years are more senior, duration of therapy should be limited for 5 days.
Side effects
Betasalik's use can cause such side effects as: itch, burning and dryness of integuments, folliculitis, hypertrichosis, eels, hypopigmentation, perioral and allergic contact dermatitis.
Side effects at use of ointment with occlusive bandages: maceration, heat rash, atrophy of skin, striya, accession of consecutive infection.
Striya and vasodilatation (it is preferential on a face), generally are result of long continuous putting ointment.
Special instructions
At pregnancy Betasalik's appointment is admissible only if the advantage of therapy considerably exceeds risk for health of a fruit, and is exclusive according to instructions of the doctor. If drug after all needs to be used, then the dose and duration of a course of treatment should be reduced considerably from standard.
There are no data on use of means during a lactation therefore when putting ointment recommend to stop breastfeeding.
Drug is not used in ophthalmologic practice. It is necessary to avoid hit of ointment in eyes.
It is not necessary to apply ointment on the injured skin because of availability in it of salicylic acid.
With care appoint Betasalik to children as at them more expressed side effects, than at adults are possible. At children who take a long course of treatment local corticosteroids (adrenal hormones) the low body weight, Cushing's syndrome, a growth inhibition, intracranial hypertensia (increase in pressure) can be observed.

Terms and storage conditions
To store in the protected from direct sunshine, dry place. Temperature range is from 8 to 15 °C.
