Dentol
Application instruction:
Dentol – the local anesthetizing and antiinflammatory drug.
Form of release and structure
Dentol release in the form of gum gel: light pink color, a homogeneous consistence, with light fruit aroma (on 15 g in tubas, on 1 tuba in a cardboard pack).
Is a part of 1 g of gel:
- Active agent: benzocaine – 75 (Dentol of 7,5%) or 100 (Dentol of 10%) mg;
- Auxiliary components: polyethyleneglycol 75, glycerin, ascorbic acid, polyethyleneglycol 8, sodium saccharin, the purified water, cherry fragrance, red dye (in addition for Dentol of 7,5%).
Indications to use
Dentol 7,5% appoint for stopping of pain at children from 4 months at a teething. Drug is used as a temporary high-speed way of reduction of a dentagra at children as anesthetic at small damages of an internal cover of an oral cavity, dental care, and also as a part of complex therapy of aphthous stomatitis.
Dentol 10% appoint to children of 6 years and the adult for bystry stopping of a dentagra. Gel is also applied as anesthesia at insignificant damages of an internal cover of an oral cavity, morbidity of gums and as anesthetic at short dental procedures.
Contraindications
- The multiple injured sites on a mucous membrane of a mouth;
- Infectious process in a gel site of application;
- Hypersensitivity to drug components.
Dentol 7,5% children can apply from 4 months, Dentol 10% – from 6 years.
Route of administration and dosage
When using Dentol's for stopping of pain at a teething a small amount of gel should be applied on a gingiva. At a dentagra gel is applied around the affected tooth.
It is possible to carry out the procedure with frequency rate 3-4 times a day. Drug use longer is not recommended than 7 days.
Side effects
As a rule, medicines which active agent is benzocaine are transferred well. They do not render irritant action and are non-toxical.
The side effects caused by Dentol can be connected with hypersensitivity to components of drug or exceeding of the recommended dose. At emergence in a site of application of gel of hypostasis, itch or hyperemia therapy is recommended to be interrupted.

Before Dentol's use, and also in cases of development of uncharacteristic symptoms it is necessary to consult at the doctor.
Medicinal interaction
Dentol along with inhibitors of cholinesterase and sulfanamide means is not recommended to apply.
Terms and storage conditions
To store in the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature of 15-30 °C.
Period of validity – 4 years.
