Dermasinum

Dermasinum – drug for external use with a wide range of antibacterial action.

Form of release and structure

Dosage form – cream for external use of 1%: white color with homogeneous structure (on 50 g in aluminum tubas, in a cardboard pack 1 tuba; on 250 g in polypropylene banks).

Active agent of Dermasinum – silver Sulfadiazinum, in 1 g of cream – 10 mg.

Auxiliary components: the peanut oil (hydrogenated), polysorbate 60, пропилпарагидроксибензоат, cetyl alcohol, methylparahydroxybenzoate, propylene glycol, the water purified.

Indications to use

Use of Dermasinum is shown for treatment and prevention of infection of burns (including before carrying out an autodermoplastika), trophic ulcers and wounds.

Contraindications

• Newborn premature children;
• Age up to 2 months;
• Period of pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding;
• Hypersensitivity to streptocides;
• Hypersensitivity to drug components.

With care patients are recommended to appoint cream with disturbances of functions of kidneys or a liver.

Use during pregnancy, especially in the III trimester and at childbirth is possible only according to vital indications if the potential advantage for mother exceeds the existing threat for a fruit.

Route of administration and dosage

Dermasinum is intended only for external use.

Cream should be applied only after preliminary surgical treatment of area of defeat.

The recommended dosing for trophic ulcers and burns: cream is applied with a layer 2-4 mm thick by 1-2 times a day. Treatment duration – before full healing of a surface of a wound.

Use of bandages is shown, their change should be made daily.

Side effects

• Local reactions: seldom – an itch, burning sensation;
• System of a hemopoiesis: in some cases – a passing leukopenia, it is preferential with decrease in number of neutrophils; seldom – hemopoiesis disturbance, including an agranulocytosis, aplastic anemia, thrombocytopenia, a leukopenia, hemolitic anemia;
• Dermatological reactions: perhaps – a mnogoformny erythema, disturbance of a xanthopathy, exfoliative dermatitis, development of a necrosis of skin;
• Allergic reactions: perhaps – Stephens-Johnson's syndrome;
• Others: emergence of any side effects, including the dispeptic phenomena, a hepatocellular necrosis, hepatitis, reactions, characteristic of streptocides, from a nervous system, a toxic nephrosis, intersticial nephrite is in rare instances possible.

The probability of side effects depends on extent of absorption of cream which the level of damage of fabrics and the size of a wound surface influences.

Special instructions

Use of Dermasinum can become the reason of development of superinfection.

It is impossible to allow hits of drug in eyes.

At inborn insufficiency glyukozo-6-fosfatdegidrogenazy patients should use cream with care (because of risk of development of hemolysis).

At patients with a renal failure or a liver because of the slowed-down removal cumulation of Sulfadiazinum of silver is possible. The issue of expediency of further therapy is resolved individually, considering clinical indications and a possibility of ensuring regular control of level of concentration of active component in blood serum.

Treatment of burn surfaces, considerable by the size, should be accompanied with control of function of kidneys, concentration of drug in blood serum and the possible maintenance of Sulfadiazinum in urine.

Because of risk of development of thrombocytopenia, a leukopenia or an eosinophilia long use on the extensive site of skin has to be carried out at regular control of a blood count.

It is not necessary to apply cream to patients with a porphyria.

Dermasinum does not exert impact on ability of the patient to control of vehicles and mechanisms.

Medicinal interaction

At simultaneous use with fermental means for clarification of a wound Sulfadiazinum of silver can reduce their activity.

The risk of development of a leukopenia increases at a cream combination to Cimetidinum.

To store at a temperature up to 25 °C. To protect from children.

Period of validity – 3 years.
