Sonom's diet – the author's power supply system of the American nutritionist Constantius Gatterson called by it in honor of the wine-making area in the State of California. Rules of a diet of Sonom:

  • The amount of the food eaten for breakfast has to find room in a plate with a diameter of 17,5 centimeters;

Sonom's diet is divided into three stages called by waves.

  2. The stage lasts until desirable weight is not reached. Speed of loss of weight at the same time makes no more than 1 kg a week. The diet of second "wave" is slightly wider in comparison with the previous stage.

What products are resolved?

During first "wave" are resolved:

  • Low-fat meat (turkey, chicken, rabbit, beef);

  • Vegetables with the low content of starch (sweet pepper, tomatoes, siliculose haricot, a cauliflower, etc.);
  • Grain (brown rice, wholegrain small loafs, flakes and porridges);
  • Vegetable oils (no more than 3 h l. in days);
  • Nuts (as having a snack).

During second "wave" are added to the list of the resolved products:

  • Fruit (except for bananas and grapes);
  • Dry grape wine (no more than 200 ml for dinner);
  • Sweets (piece of bitter chocolate, honey spoon).

Third "wave" allows to use any products.

What products are prohibited?

 At the first stage of a diet of Sonom it is necessary to exclude:

  • Sugar, sacchariferous products (including fruit and honey) and sweeteners;
  • Products from white flour;
  • White rice;
  • Fat grades of meat;
  • Alcohol;
  • Starch-containing vegetables (potatoes, corn).

At the second stage of a diet are prohibited:

  • Bananas, grapes.

Third "wave" has no rigid restrictions.

Menu

Principles of drawing up menu of a diet of Sonom:

First "wave":

Breakfast

75% of a protein and 25% grain (oat or rye flakes) or 50% of low-fat milk and 50% grain (small loafs from whole grain, brown rice).

Lunch

40% of a protein and 60% of vegetables.

Dinner

30% of a protein, 20% of grain and 50% of vegetables.

Having a snack

nuts or vegetables.

Second "wave":

Breakfast

25% of grain and 75% of protein, or 50% of low-fat milk and 50% of cereals, either 100% of protein, or 100% of low-fat milk or the fat-free yogurt.

Lunch and dinner

on 25% of cereals, vegetables, protein and fruit.

Having a snack

slice of bitter chocolate / 200 ml of dry wine / honey spoon.

Useful tips

Council 1: It is not necessary to toughen a diet, completely refusing fat (oils) as comprehensibility of fat-soluble vitamins can be broken.

Council 2: It is necessary to use "harmful" products at the third stage infrequently and better in the first half of day, then they with smaller probability will turn into fat.
