Gynofortum
Application instruction:
Gynofortum – derivative an imidazole, antifungal drug with fungicidal action, active concerning mushrooms of the sort Microsporum, Trichophyton, Epidermophyton and Candida.
Form of release and structure
Dosage form – vaginal cream: homogeneous, without visible stratification and foreign particles, from color, white to white with a gray shade (on 5 g in polypropylene applicators, 1 applicator in a polisterolovy case, 1 case in the laminated package, 1 package in a pack cardboard).
Active ingredient: a butokonazola nitrate, in 1 g of cream – 20 mg.
Additional components: polyglyceryl-3-oleate, glitserol monostearate, wax, oil mineral, silicon dioxide colloid, пропилпарагидроксибензоат, methylparahydroxybenzoate, propylene glycol, dinatrium эдетат, sorbitol, water.
Indications to use
Gynofortum is applied to treatment of candidiasis of the vagina caused by Candida albicans.
Contraindications
Use of drug is contraindicated to girls up to 18 years, to pregnant women and the nursing women, and also all patients at hypersensitivity to Gynofortum components.
Route of administration and dosage
Gynofortum is intended for single intravaginalny use.
Contents of 1 applicator are entered deeply into a vagina.
Time of day of use of drug does not matter.
Rules of use of the one-time applicator:
- To remove a foil from packaging;
- To take the applicator;
- Without deleting a cap, to take the applicator it is strong one hand, and – to pull another for a ring to a limit to extend from it the piston;
- It is careful to enter the applicator deeply into a vagina;
- Slowly pressing on the piston, to squeeze out cream;
- To remove the empty applicator and to throw out.
Side effects
- Local reactions: morbidity, itch, burning, vagina wall hypostasis;
- Others: spasms and/or pains in the lower part of a stomach.
Special instructions
The applicator is intended for single use.
It is impossible to heat the applicator and to use if the cap is removed.
The parabens capable to cause allergic reactions are a part of drug.
If after the end of treatment clinical signs of an infection remain, it is necessary to conduct a repeated microbiological research to reveal the activator and to confirm the diagnosis.
In case of painful feelings or irritation of a mucous membrane of a vagina Gynofortum should be cancelled.
At accidental hit of cream in digestive tract it is necessary to make a gastric lavage and if necessary to carry out a symptomatic treatment.
Drug does not render a negative impact on attention and speed of reactions.
Medicinal interaction
Mineral oil which can damage products from rubber and latex (including intravaginalny diaphragms and condoms) therefore within 72 hours after administration of cream it is not recommended to use the specified contraceptives is a part of drug.
