Meletin

Form of release and structure

Meletin is produced in the form of granules (in packages on 2 g).

Is a part of 100 g of granules:

  • Active agent: meletin – 4 g;
  • Auxiliary components: glucose, apple pectin, sugar.

Indications to use

  • Focal radiation injuries after carrying out rentgeno-and gamma ray therapy (treatment and prevention);
  • Erosive and ulcer diseases of a mucous membrane of an oral cavity, periodontosis;
  • Pyoinflammatory diseases of soft tissues;
  • Climacteric, a vertebralno-pain syndrome (along with other drugs);
  • Neuroreflex displays of osteochondrosis of a backbone;
  • Chronic glomerulonephritis;
  • The erosive cankers of upper parts of the digestive channel caused by use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (prevention);
  • Neurocirculatory dystonia, coronary heart disease, angina of exertion of the II-III functional class.

Contraindications

  • Age up to 12 years (due to the lack of sufficient data about safety and efficiency of use of drug for this age group of patients);
  • Hypersensitivity to drug components.

Feeding and to pregnant women (especially in the first trimester) women are not recommended to apply Meletin.

Route of administration and dosage

At topical administration of 2 g of granules of Meletin it is necessary to dissolve in 10 ml of hot water and to mix before receiving gel. At erosive peptic ulcers of a mucous membrane of an oral cavity and periodontosis appoint daily 1 application the gel applied on sterile napkins.

To the patients living in the zones contaminated by radionuclides, it is necessary to accept Meletin inside 2 times a day on 1 g (1/2 teaspoons). Inside drug is accepted in 30 minutes prior to food. Duration of therapy is defined by the doctor individually. As a part of complex treatment of pyoinflammatory diseases of soft tissues Meletin is applied inside and locally in the same doses.

At treatment and prevention of focal lesions at a radial illness Meletin is appointed:

  • Inside: on 1 g 3-4 times a day (add 1/2 glasses of water to 1 g of granules, insist and accept in 30 minutes prior to food);
  • Locally: applications by gel (1 g of granules on 5 ml of water) on the damaged parts of a body, frequency rate of use –2-3 times a day.

Duration of a course is defined by the doctor individually.

At neuroreflex displays of osteochondrosis of a backbone, a chronic glomerulonephritis, coronary heart disease, climacteric, a vertebralno-pain syndrome, and also for prevention of development of ulcerogenic effect of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs Meletin is appointed inside on 3 g a day. At simultaneous use with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs for the prevention of development of a peptic ulcer of a stomach it is possible to accept 6 g a day in 3 receptions.

Teenagers with neurocirculatory dystonia should accept 2 times a day 2 g of Meletin, therapy duration – 30 days.

Side effects

During use of Meletin reactions of the increased individual sensitivity can develop (in the form of rash or an itch).

At emergence of any uncharacteristic symptoms it is recommended to interrupt treatment and to see behind consultation a doctor.

Special instructions

In the absence of improvement or an aggravation of symptoms or at development of the undesirable phenomena therapy should be interrupted.

Medicinal interaction

At simultaneous use of Meletin with some medicines there can be undesirable effects:

  • Drugs of ascorbic acid: strengthening of effects;
  • Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs: strengthening of their antiinflammatory action.

Terms and storage conditions

To store in protected from light, the place, dry, unavailable to children, at a temperature up to 25 °C.

Period of validity – 2 years.
