"The lemon diet" was developed by the American nutritionist Theresa Chung and gained popularity thanks to efficiency and simplicity.

Theresa Chung considers that excess weight – result of bad digestion. Because the stomach and intestines function not at full capacity, the organism does not receive necessary substances for maintenance of high speed of metabolism owing to what fat is laid. In such situation in a diet lemons are necessary.

Lemons are useful to digestive processes: they stimulate allocation of a gastric juice, and their dried peel contains pectin which, getting into a stomach, inflates, creating feeling of saturation, and positively influences intestines, improving a peristaltics and promoting removal of slags. Besides, they contain a large amount of vitamins, including vitamin C which activates a lipometabolism.

Basic provisions of "A lemon diet":

  • every morning to drink on an empty stomach a glass of warm water with the freshly squeezed juice of a lemon divorced in it. It is necessary to begin with several drops of juice, then gradually increasing its contents;
  • in total within a day to drink not less than 2 l of pure still water, it is obligatory with addition of lemon juice;
  • during the day it is necessary to add a lemon, its juice and a dried peel to all dishes. It can be first courses, salads, drinks. Besides, it is recommended to eat periodically lemon pieces with a dried peel;
  • food has to be fractional, at least 5 times a day, surely at regular intervals and are desirable every day at the same time;
  • the diet is supplemented with the bathtubs promoting removal of slags from an organism. Bathtubs with use of soda, turpentine, natural essential oils are most effective (lemon, grapefruit, orange).

During "A lemon diet" it is recommended to lead active lifestyle. It is possible to do physical exercises, to swim in the pool, to visit a bath, a sauna, to complete a massage course.

First breakfast

Second breakfast

Yogurt with dried fruits and a dried peel of a lemon.

Lunch

The low-fat fish baked in a foil and sprinkled by lemon juice, vegetable stew.

Afternoon snack

Baked apples.

Dinner

Buckwheat cereal, green tea with a lemon.
